Ed Snowden’s Achievements to Date – None!
by stan Wednesday, Jul 10 2013, 12:05pm
international / prose / post

The NSA whistleblower and duped journalist who was carefully selected to reveal what we already know -- that we are all under constant surveillance by the American NSA -- continue to occupy the ‘front pages’ around the western world to the great expense of other more critical news.

Edward Snowden
Edward Snowden

Consider for a minute that while Snowden is attracting media global headlines, the Bradley Manning case barely drew middle page coverage and the teenage Boston bomber’s arraignment appearance, barely a mention. Both cases have the potential to severely comprise the USA, the Manning case for the sheer absurdity of a proven criminally accused – Pentagon – presiding over a case to determine the fate of the accuser; have we seen other instances where people of conscience have been put on trial by the criminals they accused?

If the Manning case is to be heard at all, it should be heard before a totally independent, preferably international court, which is experienced and suited to hear cases involving State war crimes and terrorism. The absurdity of the Pentagon conducting the case is a hair’s breath away from pure lunacy or is an example of complete State corruption – take your pick!

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's real court appearance also went virtually unnoticed as his case could compromise the government; it has been confirmed that the two brothers had ongoing FBI handlers and were set-up by the powers in order to soften/familiarise the public to police State tactics like a complete lockdown of a major American city and door to door invasions by para-military police conducting intrusive searches without warrants! The young Chechen’s whereabouts after he was shot and wounded, could have easily been narrowed to a specific area of the city by good police work, but the powers chose -- for reasons known only to them -- to lock down the entire city and conduct a door to door search for a single wounded teenager, a ludicrous situation if for reasons of a single manhunt.

Snowden remains very suspect for numerous reasons, foremost among them is that he has revealed nothing not already known; he and his journo friend only hint at having NEW compromising information. If Snowden or journo Glenn Greenwald have the ‘goods’ on the government then bloody-well PUBLISH or forever be viewed as 'useful idiots' or with extreme suspicion.

Whenever the media goes to great pains to saturate the ‘front pages’ globally, be assured the elite are attempting to keep other issues in the background or completely hidden from public view. More incriminating news from Syria perhaps, especially after puppet Obama ‘decided’ to give ‘material support to terrorists’ – a serious crime -- by supplying rebel al-Qaeda affiliates with arms.

Perhaps we should all throw our support behind hero Bradley Manning and demand that he is given a fair trial or a medal for his heroic actions. If 14 million Egyptians are able to protest and successfully demand that their unrepresentative leader is removed from office then surely a few million Americans should be able to hold corrupt criminals in Washington -- including the ‘kill list’ lackey president -- to account.

In the meantime Mr Greenwald and Mr Snowden, if you have any real game-changing compromising material then let’s see it!
