No Shortage of Heroes
by dulcie Monday, Oct 9 2017, 12:04am
international / prose / post

In a world populated by nose-ringed digital slaves today, which are intentionally alienated by the digital media, it seems that heroes have become a rare occurrence. However, that is not the case as any designated hero of the past, if still living, would inform you that they are just people that acted beyond the call under extreme duress, we often hear, “anyone would have done what I did under the circumstances,” or “there was no choice but to act.” In fact heroes are often created by circumstance. Indeed, we are all potential heroes, at least those of us that have maintained an independent identity not formulated and shaped by the digital media.

Consider how modern generations are alienated. We are all familiar with the ‘like/dislike’ buttons on ‘social’ and popular media; a female friend described the ‘like’ button as a feel-good pill, while dislikes tend to depress to the point of suicide if they persist, such is the price and fate of those that allow others to determine who they are. And so millennials push ever harder to grab the feel good pills of ‘likes’ and deeply dread ‘dislikes’ for no VALID reason, as the digital media is a LIE by its very nature. All representations produced and shaped by it are FALSE, as absolutely NOTHING is able to substitute a REAL PERSON, take note millennials, a generation noted for its lack of real social involvement.

The soft underbelly of the popular digital media is sub-scription, if people do not participate or invest their attention, it becomes what it is, an electronic phantasm or game of charades, totally divorced from REALITY. Users would quickly discover that withdrawing support/subscriptions and only using media for pure communication purposes, not feeble attempts at self-glorification, immediately relieves the HUGE pressure it induces, which is often unconscious and so more insidious. People would soon discover via social intercourse the simple but deeply satisfying pleasures of life, even a solitary walk along the coast or other natural environment location.

Indeed, as created beings, we ARE an integral part of the LIVING universe that created us, though the digital media severs that link and substitutes a totally fake, hollow environment, which experience bankrupts our spirit and hollows out our real joy.

So if you wish to be a hero today, simply have the courage to disconnect from false realities and deal with real people and real life situations on EARTH. A multitude of environmental and social ills are cured by this simple, but challenging for some, action/PROCESS.

Also, you would soon discover facets of yourself that have remained dormant or atrophied by the negative effects of the soul-destroying, mentally enslaving, digital media.

I look forward to bumping into you in the street and perhaps engaging in a real exchange, with a smile! Try to convey the warmth of a genuine human smile, with a ‘smiley’ -- what a joke! Social and other digital media lacks life and spirit, it is a DEAD entity/medium, and it is plain that no LIFE issues from something inherently DEAD.

Have a very pleasant day and many more if you maintain your decision to make wise life choices. Any medium or spiteful person that attempts to portray you as anything other than a hero due to your positive decisions -- is simply full of shit, and you know it!
