US Senate Passes Act that Legalises Government Propaganda/LIES

In a classic Orwellian inversion the US Senate included a new aspect to the NDAA, National Defense Authorization Act, which allows for the creation of an Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth,’ to be called the "Global Engagement Center,” which is to be headed by the Secretary of State.

Its functions are described thus:

“…[to] develop, plan, and synchronize… whole-of-government initiatives to expose and counter foreign propaganda and disinformation directed against United States national security interests and proactively advance fact-based narratives that support United States allies and interests ... “ — §1259C, a3.

I mean really, would anyone not be able to see through this description? So we can expect more LIES from government and its mass media partners and more moves to silence, discredit and place the alternative media and any other entity that opposes the LIES and propaganda of the mainstream, into disrepute.

What all this obviously means people, is kiss goodbye to free speech. Well why not, the US population has already allowed the nefarious interests that own government to trounce on their most important rights and liberties, which are supposedly ensured by/in the Bill of Rights and other founding documents; so why not go the whole hog and silence free speech and the voices of those that cannot countenance perpetual wars (based on lies), the continual mass murder of innocent civilians and the destruction of nations for the (resource theft) profit of the elite criminal few?

However, for me and other contributors to this alternative news site, we have to chuckle, as this addition to the NDAA clearly indicates that we have the evil bastards frightened and on the run; and that alt-news outlets, most of which run on the smell of an oil-rag, are easily able to neutralise the lies and propaganda of the mainstream, notwithstanding that the mainstream media has $billions at its disposal. It proves without doubt that you do not need money to defeat the most powerful criminals on the planet. The only real weapon the alt-media wields is TRUTH, and how effective a weapon is truth, as NOW we have the most powerful forces in the USA on the run?

Well, it seems like the alt-media is having the last laugh, the extra expense involved in combating Truth verifies the FACT. Now, if we are able to put the most powerful nation on earth on the defensive with virtually no resources, imagine what would we be able to accomplish with minimal funds? Answer: a great deal, not least of which would be to trash bought governments and their lying media arm. Personally, I can’t wait. For every million they spend we only need one hundred or less to counter. Clearly this is an unfair fight, perhaps in the interests of fair play we all should continue functioning on the smell of an oil-rag, at least then the LIARS would have a minuscule chance of keeping the Titanic afloat.
