Dis-empowering American Mainstream Journo feebly attempts to Dupe the Masses
by jake Sunday, Aug 7 2016, 11:14pm
international / prose / post

I could scarcely believe what I was reading, an article from the mainstream Boston Globe by one, questionable character (easily proven), Stephen Kinzer. The article is titled, "Don't Blame the Masses,” which of course is counter-intuitive and erroneously based as reality begs to differ, So I decided to read this feeble attempt at apologetics, journalistic contortion and mis-information, as I was to discover, and what a tragic read it was/is!

Kinzer’s first sentence reveals much, “Whether or not the world is in an unusually bad state these days, it certainly seems so.” Note the “whether or not” and “seems,” in the face of the worst social turbulence/chaos seen since the two world wars; ‘whether’ ‘seems,’ Mr Kinzer? It is CLEAR the world is in a shocking state (cot case) with the global economy surviving only on QE and destructive, destabilising wars raging in every nation that America has militarily, and illegally intervened. However, the indecisive ‘seems,’ sets the tone of the entire mis-informative conclusion, that it’s really not the masses which are to blame, give me a break, but read on and assess for yourselves.

The article continues in a tame, timid mode/tone, American editorial policy no doubt, we must not alarm our comatosed, managed masses, at any cost, the CFR might jump on us for daring to print honest, analytical, passionate, journalism, and please note that passion and conviction, supported by facts, are allowed if based on Truth not opinion; so, how much truth or stark REALITY does it take for an American journalist to appreciate the current dire GLOBAL reality which America alone (as it controls NATO) has created? It ‘seems’ (used appropriately) that only a nuclear strike would arouse most Americans, which, coincidentally, American neocons in Washington are doing their insane best to achieve -- so much for lame, Valium journalism.

The article continues with accurate information delivered in constrained tone/style and then finally we reach the last paragraph where the author finally addresses the title, here printed for reader convenience:

"In our complex modern age, the interdependent world does not run smoothly by itself. It requires farsighted leadership that takes the fate of ordinary people seriously and favors diplomacy over coercive force. Blaming the masses for stupidly supporting demagogic politicians is mistaken. People quite reasonably resent what their leaders have done to them over the last quarter century. They demand something different, whatever it is. That is the central cause of the new world disorder.”

Isn’t it a treat, the only paragraph that addresses the title, however, the way in which it addresses it is ‘worthy’ of analysis!

Now as every first year journalism student is taught, analysis is an indispensible skill for any mainstream or alternative, independent journo, so let’s give Mr Kinzer’s final summation a little analysis or deconstruction, shall we? Comments in upper case brackets.

“In our complex [AND CHAOTIC] modern age, the interdependent world does not run smoothly by itself [WHY NOT? TO BE ANSWERED]. It requires farsighted leadership [“LEADERSHIP, FOR CHRIST’S SAKE! IT IS LEADERS THAT HAVE CREATED ALL THE GLOBAL PROBLEMS WE FACE TODAY!] that takes the fate of ordinary people seriously and favors diplomacy over coercive force. Blaming the masses for stupidly supporting demagogic politicians is mistaken [IS IT? AS THE MASSES ARE THE ONLY SOLUTION TO THE CHAOS, HOWEVER, THEY HAVE ALLOWED THEMSELVES TO BE LED AND MANAGED BY INCOMPETENT, CRIMINAL LEADERS]. People quite reasonably resent what their leaders have done to them [BUT THEY FAIL TO ACT] over the last quarter century [VERY TRUE]. They demand something different, [NOT “DIFFERENT,” THEY DEMAND FAIRNESS, JUSTICE, ORDER, TRUTH (TRANSPARENCY) MORALITY AND REPRESENTATION] whatever it is [NO, NOT “WHATEVER,” IT IS CLEAR, JUST AND MORAL (NOT ILLEGAL, UNREPRESENTATIVE) SOLUTIONS. That is the central cause of the new world disorder.” [AND SO Kinzer INADVERTENTLY LAYS BLAME FOR THE CURRENT “WORLD DISORDER" ON THE MASSES -- WELL, SIR, YOU’RE A FUCKIN’ GENIUS! BUT YOUR FEEBLE AND TRANSPARENT ATTEMPT TO EXONERATE THE MASSES RATHER THAN FORCING THEM TO SEE THE TRUTH AND TAKE ACTION TO RESTORE THEIR NATION, IS NOTED.]
And Americans wonder why they have absolutely no credibility in the international community, notwithstanding that the masses are entirely to blame for their current social reality by not marching on Washington and removing BY POPULAR, PERSISTENT DEMAND, OR FORCE AS DECREED, the OBVIOUS criminals that have hijacked American Democracy by cunning, money and the socially oppressive media. I recall reading a Constitutional Document placing the responsibility for the fate of the nation DIRECTLY on the shoulders of the MASSES.

And for your information, Mr Kinzer, real democracy is a participatory, continuous PROCESS engaged in by the MASSES, not a system where UNREPRESENTATIVE ‘LEADERS/EMPERORS’ RULE.

I mean, who is really paying this clown?
