Putin’s Weak and Timid Response to Turkey’s Attack
by mitch Tuesday, Nov 24 2015, 10:41pm
international / prose / post

The world has noted Putin’s response to Turkey’s clear act of aggression on Russia, and it was very weak indeed. Readers will note from the article below that Putin is feigning surprise and treachery, when in fact he knows better and is not surprised, however, he is clearly exhibiting cowardice and is at a loss on how to deal with the situation -- 1 NATO/US alliance, Russia Nil!

Putin has been decimating US and allied proxy fighting forces on the ground in Syria and exposing the entire hypocritical charade of America’s war on terrorism as a veil for imperial conquest. He has also implicated Turkey as a geographic conduit for its involvement in distributing ISIL’s stolen oil from Syria and Iraq to various markets and allowing foreign Jihadi fighters to pour through it porous borders. So what did Putin expect, compromised nations to kiss his arse? Not likely, Putin should have had a planned strategy for such an event but seems to have come up short. It will cost him dearly if he doesn’t act decisively in the very near future.

No superpower should tolerate a direct attack on its nation/military while it is conducting UNSC sanctioned legal war on known terrorist groups. So, with international law and the UN supporting Russia’s intervention in Syria, Russia would be justified to take military action against Turkey if the latter made no attempt to apologise or admit its ‘tragic mistake;’ notwithstanding that Turkey clearly acted on a green light from the US and NATO. Erdogan is belligerent but not totally insane, he doesn’t have the guts to provoke a superpower without consent and support from Washington and Brussels. In other words escalation would be entirely dependent on Western decisions.

So Mr Putin, you knew it was coming so what have YOU planned; feigning treachery and surprise smacks of cowardice?

If Putin fails to act decisively western forces would pull all stops and crush him/Russia, the stakes are high as Russian military officials are aware, it’s time to move your missile systems into place for an attack on offending nations and MEAN IT -- leave the rest to the morons (proven) strategists in the West -- if they so desperately want global war they can have it, as Russia remains the only nation that is acting within the law and UN conventions/charters! Make that reality entirely plain to the world while you prepare to retaliate against Turkey and defend your nation against criminal and hostile Western powers responsible for all the chaos and needless bloodshed in the world today.

Additional note to Xi Jinping -- if you imagine you would be able sit back and watch and avoid direct, catastrophic consequences, you are dreaming.
