It is true, that Aussie mainstream journalists are falling in line with the American version of ‘news’ and packaged disinformation, replete with distortions, omissions and plain bullshit/propaganda – 60 minutes on its fabricated story of MH17, for example -- but Oz is as far from America as its geographical location implies, culturally it is farther still as Aussies are definitely not tolerant of authoritarianism like their American very distant cousins. In fact cutting tall poppies is an Oz passtime regardless of the social stature of the target. So it is entirely Australian that a media employee/commentator would chuck some reality into the overplayed, almost holy mythologised ANZAC day commemorations, which history describes as a slaughter that no true Australian military officer should have been party to.

The Gallipoli landing and subsequent FAILED attack, in a geographical amphitheatre with Turks entrenched on the high ground resulted from Aussies pandering to British military idiots that viewed Australians as expendable former colonists. Winston Churchill was by far the biggest British idiot who thought a naval strike in the heavily mined sea channel was a good idea supported by expendable former colonists. There are many accurate accounts of this slaughter and I need only refer to it briefly.

It is ironical that the linked article covering the story of the improperly sacked journo is from the public broadcaster (ABC) as ABC journos Tony Jones and Leigh Sales are the most outrageous facilitators of American CFR directed ‘news’ outside Murdoch’s stable of compliant ‘journalists.’ Sales will never be forgotten for her outrageous cotton wool interview with war criminal Condi Rice, and Jones of course perpetually facilitates the Washington led local government agenda, well, he has a mortgage to service. Jones’ most notable sell-out was the feeble attempt to alarm the public on the swine flu fabricated alarm, he allowed the then health minister, now PM, ‘honest’ Tony Abbott to mislead the public, propagandise and help Donald Rumsfeld realise millions from the sales of ‘Tamiflu’ vaccine, now obsolete and proven to be ineffective -- great work for the Orwellian ‘ministry,’ Mr Tony ‘news facilitator’ Jones.

Furthermore, Leigh Sales has recently featured neocon David Kilcullen, Oz turncoat and hand-picked by mass murderer Paul ‘Iraq cakewalk’ Wolfowitz, who was recently allowed by Sales to push the neocon perpetual war agenda. In that sort of company it is refreshing indeed that a true blue irreverent Aussie would tell the truth about our sacred cow ANZAC, and for his trouble he was sacked for refusing to delete his private comments from his personal twitter account – give Oz a break Big Brother!

So Mr Scott McIntyre, give ‘em hell in court, as your former employer SBS has no leg to stand on.

Though Oz journalism is under persistent American attack it nevertheless survives, especially the alternative Oz media on the internet.

We extend our wholehearted support for any journo unwilling to toe the mainstream line and report lies and distortions. As for compliant packaged ‘news’ handlers your performances are becoming more transparent by the day and if you like God forsaken America so much why don’t you fuck off to Washington where you belong.
