The Modern Political Cult of Personality

The classic cult of personality (worship) reached its zenith in totalitarian communist States of the 20th century where every spare social space was covered in huge portraits/representations of the current ‘great leader’ from Stalin through to the succession of North Korean leaders today, where the 'great leader’ is portrayed as semi-divine by the local media/propaganda apparatuses that constantly spew misinformation and praise for their respective leaders. However, today a new type of personality fixation is utilised to great effect in modern global politics.

That personality fixation takes the form of a negative portrayal -- DEMONISATION -- of any leader the USA wishes to depose or eliminate; the most recent historical examples of this concerted and media-orchestrated effort of character assassination are Slobodan Milošević of the former Yugoslavia, Saddam Hussein of Iraq, Muammar Gaddafi of Libya, Bashar al-Assad of Syria and now Vladimir Putin of Russia, these are the more notable examples though many more instances in smaller US target nations exist, the Ukraine for instance.

Complex and greater political issues are all swept aside by the demonisation process and as in totalitarian States of the past the public consciousness is constantly fed lies and misinformation in order for a minority controlling political elite to pursue their criminal agendas out of the limelight. And as history clearly informs us today every named leader above was unjustly, illegally but ‘successfully’ dealt with by western criminal elites for the express purpose of resource theft or territorial acquisition -- Kosovo remains the legal territory of Serbia for example -- and as the entire world has witnessed, these methods have been highly effective and will probably continue to be utilised for some time to come for the simple reason that the collective IQ of ‘crowds’ hovers around zero or minus levels, as crowds are emotively not intellectually driven.

This is all well and good for the criminal elites that have hijacked ALL western democracies today, however, there is a downside -- backfire -- which is occurring in Australia as I write.

The current Oz leader is a known corporate-serving disingenuous, duplicitous LIAR and scoundrel much like Obama is in the USA and Cameron is in the UK -- the peoples’ focus remains on the person-ality to the exclusion of more complex political issues and factors, which is exactly how the masses have been effectively trained to respond.

However, as is evident today, this process only works to advantage when ‘competent’ deceptive leadership operates; in the case of bungling political fools and idiots, which Tony Abbott and his team of inept consultants clearly represent, the process works to destroy the leader and everything associated with that leader, his Party for example. One need only take a look at Australia for proof of concept, no matter what Abbott does or says the public remains focused on his disingenuous and duplicitous PERSONALITY and will not be moved.

The cure is obvious as the masses have been trained to ignore common sense and reason -- the TOXIC personality MUST be eliminated as per formula, or that leader and everything he/she represents becomes a poison to the mass mind -- as has just been demonstrated by two catastrophic State election results for the conservatives.
