ABC Interviewer little Ms Bias, Leigh Sales, blasted for soft treatment of Criminal PM
by daniel Thursday, Dec 4 2014, 9:30pm
international / prose / post

All you need to survive in this world is a good memory -- hearken back a few years to the cotton wool interview that Sales gave war criminal Condoleezza Rice -- the entire world was aware of Rice's criminality but Sales gave her the most accommodating interview you could imagine -- what a thorough disgrace that right-leaning Queensland bitch really is. She badgered opposition leader Shorten and then treated criminal Abbott, who has much more to answer for, to a cake walk. Very poor show and judgement ABC! However, Murdoch couldn't be happier that 'his boy' was given red carpet treatment by Sales -- no doubt that bitch is looking to secure a position in Murdoch's media empire -- well good riddance. The last thing the Oz ABC needs at this time of cuts is an obviously partial interviewer.

Renowned ABC journalist Leigh Sales has been accused of giving Prime Minister Tony Abbott a "fluffy interview" with "no brakes applied".

While Abbott dodged questions about broken promises on last night's 7.30 program and hinted at a possible cabinet reshuffle, Sales' name began trending on Twitter as users slammed her for going too soft.

"And as predicted @leighsales gives Abbott the lightest and fluffiest of interviews. Allowing him to go on and on, no brakes applied #abc730" one upset viewer tweeted.

"@leighsales your job at Fox News is waiting. Murdoch chuffed with ur attack on Shorten followed up by free pass to Abbott #ABC730 #auspol," posted another.

While another wrote: "The questions Leigh Sales asked Abbott were ok, but it was unfair to let HIM ramble without interruption, unlike Shorten's interview #abc730".

Some watchers compared Sales' performance to the publicly praised grilling Today show host Karl Stefanovic gave the prime minister earlier this week, when he asked whether Abbott was concerned about being a one-term wonder.

"Who would have thought that Karl Stevanovic does has more hard hitting journalism than Leigh Sales LOL #abc730" one person lamented.

Comedian Josh Thomas, of ABC comedy series Please Like Me, was one of the few to praise Sales for the interview, tweeting that she's "been killing it, really great".

To the delight of Twitter users, real live alarm bells started ringing mid-way through the pre-recorded interview at parliament house, just as Abbott was discussing budget issues.

Some jokingly postulated it was a "budget emergency alarm" while others called it a "lie detector bell".

It was even speculated that Abbott's chief of staff Peta Credlin had deliberately set off the siren.

"Did Credlin ring the fire alarm to get Tone out of this Leigh Sales 7:30 interview? #abc730 #auspol" one user posted.
