Aussies have Lost Confidence in the Political Process

There is no shortage of political analysis and commentary on the appalling situation in Oz politics at the moment. For all the verbosity in the mass media few commentators have the guts to spell it out so the task is once again left to the alternative media.

Aussies have lost faith and confidence in the entire (cheap) political process as both major parties have taken them for granted. The latest offender, pathologically lying and disingenuous Tony Abbott, has gone one step further, he displayed an obvious contempt for the Australian people by deceiving them into voting for him only to kick dust in the face of the nation after gaining office by reversing on all his promises -- as if the people wouldn't react!

Abbott is clearly a criminal fraud and scoundrel of the first order, people are fed up with being lied to and abused by self-seeking, ego-maniacal, dunce politicians that continue to flounder over taxing the wealthiest but insist on breaking the backs of average Australians. Aussies are not fools, they know the shortage of treasury funds can be primarily attributed to the FAILURES and INABILITY of the government to gain revenue from the trillions of dollars (per annum) in profits that are shifted off-shore by large corporations in order to avoid local tax responsibilities.

If the marketer/corporate oriented approach to politics in Oz is not overhauled soon it won't matter who becomes PM as government would have lost the nation in the process. The last real statesman Oz had was Gough Whitlam, he didn't need a bunch of marketers and consultants telling him what colour tie to wear.

The SOLUTION is simple and is easily expressed in a word -- INTEGRITY -- in Oz’s case, the lack thereof. The Libs will get nowhere while Abbott remains in office and as much as they say changing leaders is no solution, in Abbott's case it is unavoidable, he is detested by almost all Aussies due to his brazen duplicity and treacherous betrayal.

Wake up, Canberra!
