G20: Abbott Portrays Australia as a Parochial, Insular Backwater
by leslie - ABC (Oz) Saturday, Nov 15 2014, 5:52am
international / prose / post

People forget that the leader of a nation becomes its face to the world. Tony Abbott, who has all the diplomatic skills of a gnat, addressed leaders of the 20 most influential nations in the world today with his personal woes and LOCAL political issues, international leaders could care less.

Tony Abbott, imbecile
Tony Abbott, imbecile

Is it too much to expect a self-obsessed, pathologically lying idiot to at least take advice from his party peers and learn by heart how to address international company? The answer is clearly yes, imbecile Abbott proved today what many commentators have known for years that he is simply incapable and not fit for the job -- former PM Paul Keating openly stated that if Abbott ever became PM “then God help the nation.” Abbott’s incompetence is no secret, in fact, he is a national embarrassment.

Opposition leader, Bill Shorten commented that Abbott’s address to G20 leaders was “weird and graceless” and that he blew a huge opportunity for Australia to be taken seriously by the world; so much for the $6 million/annum of tax-payer funds Abbott blows on spin doctors and PR consultants, which it appears are not worth a pinch of shit. Anyone could have advised Abbott on the proper protocols and how to behave at the G20 -- one begins to wonder whether his party and others have actually allowed him to self-destruct, as it is widely known that Abbott is indeed the “suppository" of the Australian nation.

Of what concern to other nations are Abbott’s budget problems, the blocked Medicare levy, de-regulated university fees or that he stopped the boats? The major concerns of international leaders are trade, the global economy and climate change, but daft Abbott was too busy talking about himself to appreciate the world around him. Indeed, he is so self-obsessed it clearly indicates a pathological issue -- are you reading this Murdoch, you prick, the least you could do is install a competent errand boy into office next time but like all plutocrats you fell for the person who sucked the hardest.

It should be noted that geriatric Murdoch stated that Abbott was a “competent, good man” -- somehow he overlooked the obvious, that his latest errand boy suffers from severe psychological problems as do all pathological liars, which is symptomatic.

So Australia, is it NOW time to review the current plutocracy and how Murdoch, Rinehart and other corporate influences are destroying Oz democracy and the country by placing incompetent, servile imbeciles in power that are clearly not fit to lead geese let alone a prosperous, strategically situated nation. Oz is in dire need of a REAL STATESMAN with integrity, political skill and above all, intelligence, and Bill Shorten is not the man for the job, as anyone looks good next to Abbott.

Of course removing Abbott from office is simply a matter of enforcing the law, as he gained his position by fraudulent misrepresentation and calculated deceit. But the judiciary and apathetic population refuses to enforce existing criminal law and demand Abbott’s IMMEDIATE removal from office. However, the egg is really on Murdoch’s geriatric face, yet another 'great' choice, Rupert. His staff now have an opportunity to form a united front and oppose his clearly idiotic policies and decisions, notwithstanding that he is a very poor judge of character, just hearken back to his previous selection, ‘do-nothing, show pony, photo-op,' narcissist Kevin Rudd, another severely flawed personality!

Report from the ABC follows:

G20: Prime Minister's remarks at G20 'weird and graceless'
staff report

The Prime Minister's comments to world leaders in Brisbane for the G20 summit about domestic policy issues were "weird and graceless", the Opposition Leader says.

Mr Abbott had told the leaders that his efforts to balance the budget were being frustrated by public opposition to his plans for a Medicare co-payment and deregulation of university fees.

"At best, this was weird and graceless. At worst, it was a disastrous missed opportunity for Australia," Mr Shorten said in a statement.

"This was Tony Abbott's moment in front of the most important and influential leaders in the world and he's whinging that Australians don't want his GP tax."

The Prime Minister told the gathering that he had fulfilled his election pledges to axe the carbon tax and stop boats coming to Australia.

But he said his efforts to "get the budget under control" were proving "massively difficult" because of the unpopularity of proposed spending cuts.

"It doesn't matter what spending program you look at, it doesn't matter how wasteful that spending program might appear, there are always some people in the community who vote, who love that program very much," he said.

Mr Abbott singled out the proposal to levy a $7 Medicare co-payment as something that was proving difficult to achieve.

"For a long time, most Australians who went to see a doctor have been seen at no charge and we would like to see a $7 co-payment for people who are going to see the doctor," he said.

"In most countries this is not unusual ... but it is proving to be massively difficult to get this particular reform through the Parliament," he said.

Mr Abbott also said efforts to deregulate the higher education sector were also being stymied.

"That's going to mean less central government spending and effectively more fees that students will have to pay," he said.

"We think that this will free up our universities to be more competitive amongst themselves and more competitive internationally but students never like to pay more."

Abbott missed opportunity, says Shorten

Mr Shorten said Mr Abbott had "missed the opportunity to show why Australia should be considered a world leader".

"Instead he boasted of taking Australia backwards on climate change action, making it harder for Australians to go to university and pricing sick people out of getting the healthcare they need," he said.

Greens leader Christine Milne said Mr Abbott had been "shown up" by US president Barack Obama, who has pledged $US3 billion to a global climate fund and signed up to ambitious emissions targets in a joint agreement with China.

"Tony Abbott is showing what a small-minded and insignificant player he is by whining about domestic politics instead," Ms Milne said.

"It beggars belief that Tony Abbott made a fool of himself, boasting about abolishing an emissions trading scheme in front of a room of people who are committed to taking action on global warming."
