Oz PM Tony Abbott launches probe into alleged Union Corruption
by jess - ninemsn Friday, Oct 31 2014, 7:48am
international / prose / post

You’ve got to read the headline to disbelieve in Australian law.

Tony Abbott -- can YOU identify him?
Tony Abbott -- can YOU identify him?

It strikes many as the height of double standards and hypocrisy that a prime minister who gained office by calculated fraud and monumental deceit -- Abbott lied more during the election campaign than all previous PMs put together -- nonetheless, Abbott now wishes to set the dogs onto others, particularly journalists (broad new terrorism laws) and the Unions, some of which may also have much to hide but let’s have a little fair play and address the double standards and searing hypocrisies, please.

This proven duplicitous scoundrel [Abbott] occupies the highest office in the land by false pretences; Abbott is CLEARLY a criminal that will stop at nothing to get his way, a reality proven many times over. The law according to Abbott only applies to others especially Union officials and members, which are known not to be squeaky clean but if a probe is launched why exclude the most brazen criminal in the land, the PRIME MINISTER? Abbott’s case would be an open and shut affair as every BRAZEN, CALCULATED LIE and DECEPTION committed by Abbott is on RECORD and offers irrefutable proof of his GUILT!

Disgusted is too mild a term to describe what is happening to Oz law order and social propriety; the world has come to expect these shenanigans from the US, UK and third world dictatorships but not Oz, for Christ’s sake.

A probe leading to charges should first be focused on Abbott, as he is clearly the most prominent criminal in Australia. Give the nation and Oz law a bloody break!

Union officials should IMMEDIATELY COUNTER WITH AN INDEPENDENT INQUIRY INTO ABBOTT’S MASSIVE FRAUD AND CRIMINAL DECEPTIONS perpetrated on the entire nation, then we might see real AUSTRALIAN JUSTICE served without fear or favour -- the Law is the LAW and it should apply to all Australians IMPARTIALLY -- this apparent blind eye on Abbott’s corrupt activities is completely unacceptable.

Corporate media report follows:

Police taskforce established to probe union corruption
by staff report

The Prime Minister has unleashed a 30-strong State-Federal Task Force to probe union corruption.

Weighed down by evidence of widespread crime, the Royal Commission into unions had requested police investigations begin as soon as possible.

It will initially go after the construction industry, in particular the CFMEU, but companies as well.

The taskforce starts in Victoria, but will very quickly spread to New South Wales and Queensland.

Tony Abbott said the nation must "stamp out" union corruption and organised crime links.

"I don't think any decent person wants to see unions contaminated by organised crime," he said.

"The rule of law must operate everywhere."

Victorian premier Denis Napthine said the taskforce would "go wherever the evidence leads it".

Facing an election, Dr Napthine has been toe-to-toe with Mr Abbott over the politically toxic GST and increased fuel tax, but they were arm-in-arm on this.

Opposition leader Bill Shorten raised the taskforce idea seven months ago, instead of a Royal Commission.

"The workplace and industrial relations is no place for criminal activity," Mr Shorten said.

The ACTU branded the announcement a "red hot political stunt".

The Royal Commission has had its terms widened. It has been given another 12 months and is now due to report late next year.
