Words, Lies and Truth

An impulse is followed by a word, which is followed by an image, which is followed by the writer. Language is quicksand, rock and various consistencies in between. Textual production is only capable of inferring truth, hinting at something that is both tangible and intangible but existent, constant and haunting in some cases. In this context is it entirely accurate to say that truth would be lethal to Barack Obama and his administration, yet liberating to the American people.

To be averse to truth is to fall prey to perversity and by consequence the Obama and every other lying, criminal administration that exists; rejecting lies and deception automatically liberates the mind and increases awareness, which in turn transforms the person and liberates culture.

However, effort and persistence are required to pursue truth and liberation but no effort is required to accept lies, deceit and the machinations of evil men.

But there is a price to pay for complacency and tolerating evil; and a reward to be had for valour and integrity.

Thank you Mr Harold Pinter for exposing America as the vile, criminal State that it is; a writer of your calibre would know that your incisive observations and words would not fade or fail to produce fruit.

You knowingly acknowledge the continuity of art and silently welcome kindred souls and spirits of future generations. Art is a faculty of the species, it depends on truth and integrity to flourish. Some think that artists are political by choice, not so, the politics of the artist is a result of the collision between instinctive integrity and imposed cultural perversity. And as governments and their support apparatuses are the largest source of lies, deceit and perversity, it is to be expected that most artists react to and counter lies/government with representations of truth and/or alternative ‘realities.’

Referring to the fabrications of culture Pinter said, “what surrounds us is a vast tapestry of lies from which we feed.”
