The Google news listing for this Murdoch trash of an article is, “Malcolm Turnbull is really killing it,” indeed he is, “killing” the living standards of the vast majority of Australians, but are we surprised?
Self-satisfied, unelected elitist, Malcolm Turnbull - a smooth version of corporate-serving Abbott
So far UNELECTED Turnbull hasn’t made any changes to the harsh (on the people) policies of Tony ‘the slasher’ Abbott, whom he praised recently for his policies. However, he HAS passed a non-transparency bill which allows his corporate mates not to disclose the minimal, in some cases ZERO, tax they pay! So “killing” carries two meanings, one for the long suffering, abused masses that Turnbull ignores, and the other for his corporate mates.
Clearly, Turnbull is simply a re-packed, smooth-talking Abbott, as FAIRNESS has yet to make an appearance in any of his, “everything is on the table” -- a meaningless metaphoric distraction -- decisions. I would caution the Australian people not to swallow any of the mass media spin regarding Turnbull, as the corporates are doing everything in their power to support THEIR MAN who seems to have a decided aversion to alleviating the hardships that Abbott imposed on the masses while at the same time, continuing to give corporates an easy ride.
True, Turnbull is making mince of the opposition, which is reflected in recent polls, however, who is to blame? The faction controlled Labor party is stifled by their antiquated party structure and the faction overlords that make the decisions regarding leader. The current leader, Bill Shorten, hasn’t a hope against Turnbull, plain to see; a shifty, tricky lawyer who is instinctively able to turn an argument to his favour requires a canny, tactician WITH quiet and confident PRESENCE to oppose him.
Meanwhile, where is the relief the Australian people expect from their representatives? Nowhere to be seen, and as a wise Rabbi named Jesus once stated, we should judge a person by their ACTIONS, “fruits,” not the cheap spin for which Murdoch’s rags are internationally known.
Talk is cheap and open-ended metaphors are cheaper still, remember the most infamous of all, “light at the end of the tunnel,” forever bandied to prolong the disastrous, illegal Vietnam war, which was LOST! So much for meaningless metaphors! The educated are acutely aware that Turnbull is full of shit and deceit but it’s the media vulnerable masses that will make the final decision on poll day, 12 months hence.
If Turnbull is able to pass bills favouring his corporate mates then clearly he is able to assist the people, which to Turnbull and his predecessor Abbott are only a resource to be manipulated, lied to and abused.
So for mine, I’ll stick with the wise words of JC, who detested wealthy elitists, hypocrites and deceivers. Show the PEOPLE some positive ACTION, Mr ‘G Sachs,’ elitist Turnbull, then perhaps you would gain some much needed CREDIBILITY; the days of surviving on spin and open-ended, meaningless metaphors are over, the Australian NATION is not America or a courtroom. Researches should source an interview of conservative finance minister Mathias Cormann, who repeated the meaningless, UNQUALIFIED American slogan, “moving forward,” more than a dozen times in a short interview on the ABC. A sharp interviewer would have immediately nailed him, by simply asking him to define and qualify what he meant in the context of the Australian economy.
Talk is cheap indeed, and competent interviewers, Ms Sales, are rare. However, if the people see no change and self-stifled Labor is quick to change leaders then “it’s all over now baby blue,” or rather for Malcolm and his Libs!
