Australia is a land of physical extremes, it is beset by raging bush fires, infernos, more accurately, and the cause, tinder, dry dead undergrowth, or fire fuel, which must be regularly burnt off to avoid raging infernos. A social analogy can be immediately drawn, the social equivalent is disillusionment with the political status quo, the population sees through the entire ruse today. The number of Aussies fed up with Oz mainstream politics is staggering.

'Bill Turnbull,' neither is fit to lead the nation
'Bill Turnbull,' neither is fit to lead the nation

This disillusioned and disenfranchised group constitutes the fuel for radical social change, as both major parties are at it again, smears, deceit and lying to the public, jobs and growth by serving the elite (Thatcher and Reagan), my baby's arse! Regardless of which major party gains office, mega-wealthy interests rule, as they own both major parties. So does your vote for either major party really count, obviously not?

Of course representative independents offer the most viable hope of real representation, ie., serving the wishes of the MAJORITY -- which is real democracy, however, democracy as an effective political system has been dead for decades YET the majority always seem to fall for the two major party binary, whereas the universe is a limitless plurality. True, only major parties are able to form government but the Australian system has checks and balances, namely the Senate, which is able to block bills which are not in the public's interests and prevent legislation and it is precisely this fact which the current sellout government has utilised to call an early, unnecessary DD election.

The government is currently in 'caretaker' (of the elite) mode while the election campaign bores the shit out of Aussies like a repeat bad movie. The current PM is not the person he once was, obvious; every issue he once stood for has been sacrificed in order to gain leadership, he now shamelessly and openly serves the business elite, and has proven it by ignoring 75% of the population in his budget, the majority of Aussies have suffered stagnant wages for over a decade while prices for everything leapfrog, clearly an unsustainable situation as money in the pockets of the population is the engine of the economy, but who gives a shit about the people when politicians have been bought?

The transformed PM, Malcolm Turnbull, has only given tax and other breaks to the business/corporate sector and is refusing to investigate banks involved in fraudulent activities which have caused Moody's to threaten an AA credit rating instead of AAA, this would risk a collapse as our leveraged to the hilt banks obtain loans from large global banks and Australia’s credit rating is likely to drop as a result of thoroughly incompetent government and criminal bankers, which have allowed the banking sector to become negative, parasitic influences on the community -- neither major party has mentioned eliminating bank FEES for everything, a boon granted by Labor PM Paul Keating, who deregulated the banking/financial sector a la Bill Clinton, and look what happened to the US economy!

Rather than WORK for their profits banks immediately, in cartel fashion, implemented fees on the public creating hundreds of millions overnight in parasitic, non-productive profits. Ever more evidence that neither major party has the best interests of the people at heart, what a thoroughly despicable government approved scam.

The least any candidate could do today is offer to eliminate parasitic bank fees, however, neither has breathed a word, or shown any inclination toward FAIR PLAY and a just balanced society. The new norm is the minority rich elite get richer and fuck the battling people. Therefore, who in their right mind would waste a vote on either major party? Choosing between a vomit and a turd is not democracy, pure and simple.

For mine, the problem is easily cured by allowing the public to take immediate LEGAL action if politicians renege on their word and (empty) promises, they will say anything to gain office and then immediately backflip and say, “the Australian people understand,” (Tony Abbott) well bullshit to that!

Most Aussies are aware the system has failed them, so why continue to support those that quite literally sell out the population? It needn’t occur, either vote for someone that represents you or vote for a mongrel dog BUT never vote for any major party. Very soon if this measure is undertaken politicians would learn NEVER to take the population for granted again.

Aussies are faced yet again with voting for interests that serve the banker/corporate minority, a situation that faces every western nation today, not a coincidence I would add. However, alternative options always exist, vote for people you’ve never heard of, it is clear it can only improve things as the state of politics in Oz is in radical need of CHANGE -- the system as it stands has failed to serve the majority for decades regardless of which party forms government. Think wisely about the above REALITY before you are tempted to vote for either major party. Make your vote COUNT, burn the bastards!
