Something not given enough focus and attention in the current federal election ‘fight’ between the two major Oz parties is the starkness and incredibly revealing way in which both parties have brazenly defined themselves, pause here, you may think this is obvious but it’s not, please read on.
Bill Turnbull
We have in the leaders of the two parties what appears to be the polarised essence of Australian culture, the minority elite vs the battler/underdog, which can be traced back to settler/colonial times, the elite British colonial aristocracy vs convicts and indentured labourers. However, few today are able to see the ‘trees for the forest,’ this is not a misquotation.
We have in Turnbull an elitist silver tail, plain to see, supporting the wealthy, MINORITY big end of town, when he should be supporting ALL AUSTRALIANS, not just HIS minority privileged elite with tax and other breaks while average Aussies are subject to depressed stagnant wages (which are no longer viable) and leapfrogging prices for everything, INCLUDING basic necessities for week to week living.
Turnbull BRAZENLY – it’s out there like dog’s balls -- IGNORED 75% of the population in his budget and favoured his elite friends with a failed (proven) ‘trickle down’ economic plan, which ONLY benefits the elite, as history records, YET he hopes to convince the ‘convict underclass and debt-indentured’ MAJORITY that he is their leader too when REALITY CLEARLY dictates otherwise, in fact his ACTIONS, not his lying words, define him as the ENEMY of the majority of Australians!
This election is not about wedge politics and divisionism, ideological and/or social, it’s about REPRESENTING THE DEMOCRATIC MAJORITY, a reality to which divorced from reality Turnbull, is completely UNRESPONSIVE. The proof is in Australia’s face yet few seem aware of it, because if they were Turnbull would have already been laughed out of the competition and exposed as a FRAUD.
Now to the so-called workers (debt-indentured slaves) ‘hero,’ Bill Shorten, whose background as a union boss is very misleading. Shorten’s history in his former role is noted by him selling out workers to the corporate elite in order to further his PERSONAL political career; furthermore, the ACTU today has backed the treacherous SDA union’s deal with the CORPORATIONS which deal indisputably disadvantaged struggling workers and reduced their wages to BELOW AWARD RATES, an illegality in Australia; however, Shorten pretends he is the battler’s hero and is fighting in their interests, a pack of lies. When interviewed on Queensland radio about the treachery of the SDA, he failed to support ripped off workers and DENOUNCE the sordid relationship the SDA has with the corporate sector, and to add fuel to the sell-out inferno, the ACTU itself has supported the SDA – now if these actions do not send a clear message to workers then nothing will, there simply are no ‘ifs or buts,’ neither Shorten or Turnbull support the vast MAJORITY of Australians – reality doesn’t lie, politicians do!
Neither leader has any credibility whatsoever, yet which commentator or media personality has brought this to the attention of the masses? So much for the CORPORATE mass media, and that includes the ABC Corporation, it hasn’t been a commission (in the public interest) for years.
The political REALITY is STARK, in fact, it couldn’t be starker – any Australian that would waste a vote on these two BRAZEN sell-outs is simply nuts or at the very least, deluded.
Two party ‘adversarial politics’ in Oz is a tragic failure as the nation/people have been left behind.
It is clear that the MAJOR parties require shock treatment, as the situation would only get worse if either party was to gain a majority.
The clear solution for the majority of Australians is to WITHDRAW ALL SUPPORT FROM THE MAJOR PARTIES and vote for an independent or minor party that represents YOU. Whichever major party ‘wins’ the poll they would then be forced to form government with minor parties and deal with independent representatives of the PEOPLE; Oz parliament would become more democratic and representative as a result.
The major parties may not learn as quickly as hoped but the more they are ignored, as THEY do the people/workers, the more they would be forced to become more representative.
Do not waste a vote in this election, as both major parties HAVE PROVEN they do not support Australian workers of whichever class. Vote for someone that truly represents YOUR concerns, only then would the mythic ‘fair go’ become possible.
