Bradley Manning, Hero image Bradley Manning's Nobel Peace Prize David Swanson via sal, Tuesday, Mar 26 2013, 8:35am
No individual has done more to push back against what Martin Luther King Jr. called "the madness of militarism" than Bradley Manning. The United States is the leading exporter of weapons and itself spends as much preparing for more wars as the rest of the world combined. Manning is the leading actor in opposition to U.S. warmaking, and therefore militarism around the world. What he has done has hurt the cause of violence in a number of other nations as well. The title allows for never-ending descriptions/explanations so I will restrict myself to a general appreciation that may lead you to discover what you require at this stage of your evolution.

thangka.jpg image The Brotherhood Ethan Indigo Smith via bluey, Sunday, Mar 24 2013, 3:07am
The value of all that you know and all that you've been taught can quickly be outweighed and forgotten by your belief in and support of man made national, racial, religious and cultural institutions. All wars root themselves in a bed of belief in and support for existing institutions and in the hatred of stigmatized individuals within varying alternative institutions. All zealotry and loyalty begins in the feeling of being involved in an institutional family. People are convinced that they are part of an institutional family, an institution that presents itself as immortal. (story and 1 image)

text Who Does ‘Your’ Government Serve? jen, Saturday, Mar 23 2013, 10:43pm
Fair question with an obvious answer but let’s elaborate a little so there’s absolutely no doubt.

Do you feel that your government serves you and the people or does it serve the minority big end of town, the Corporatists and Bankers? Now think of the US Attorney General refusing to prosecute Wall St criminal FRAUD but kicking you out of house and home or fining you for misdemeanours.

text The Dilemma of Western Minds Approaching Eastern Philosophies sadh, Saturday, Mar 23 2013, 10:21am
I recently read a short article by Western Buddhist, ‘llar’ titled, ‘Suffering and Design.’ The piece began in typical western fashion with concepts, i.e. created cultural thought habits so often repeated they are accepted as given ‘realities’ when in fact they are fabrications or arbitrary social fictions/conventions designed to enable social management by crafty ruling elites or anyone willing to exploit the feeble minded. The concepts referred to are ‘dukha’ and ‘sin,’ which roughly render as ‘suffering’ and out of ‘step/synch/alignment,’ respectively.

text You Want The Truth? ned, Friday, Mar 22 2013, 6:46am
Start with a viable and winnable strategy, place the leaders of the 'coalition of the willing' criminals -- Bush, Blair and Howard -- on trial for their known LIES and subsequent WAR and OTHER CRIMES against HUMANITY committed in Iraq.

Corporate lackeys, Gillard and Rudd image The Oz Electorate is Not Amused judd, Thursday, Mar 21 2013, 6:42am
Yet another leadership contest between insular Oz politicians completely oblivious to the sentiment of the PEOPLE; indeed, the electorate is NOT amused by the antics of both major parties. It has become clear that Federal politics in Australia is all about ‘us,’ i.e., competing politicians, not the welfare of the people or nation. (story and 1 image)

bibiobama.jpg image Middle East tour - Obama is Expendable ned, Wednesday, Mar 20 2013, 5:06am
The price of selling your soul to the devil or nefarious criminal ruling elites is that you become an expendable asset. At the present time of total disillusionment with American politics/leadership, Obama’s masters must be aware, as most commentators are aware that an assassinated Obama has far more currency and political value than a lying, transparent, well past ‘use-by date,’ puppet politician. Eric Holder, reprehensible black slave image US Attorney General Refuses to Prosecute Wall St. Crime Mark Karlin via judd, Monday, Mar 18 2013, 7:50am
The above reality carries with it proof incontrovertible the USA is not a democracy but a Plutocracy, a nation run by a wealthy minority elite. Attorney General Eric Holder’s tragic and pathetic excuse for not pursuing Big Banks and the criminal Bankers that run them is that such an action may destabilise the economy. (story and 1 image)

text You can say that again! ivy, Thursday, Mar 14 2013, 10:09pm
A recent post to an alternative American news site ran with the title: "37 Percent of People in US Are Completely Lost"

The story, authored by Mark Morford, contained the following gross grammatical error/typo: "... it’s safe to say about 37 percent of Americans are just are not very bright. Or rather, quite shockingly dumb..."

text Crosshairs on Washington gus, Thursday, Mar 14 2013, 8:24am
While that despicable black -- traitor to his race and people -- lackey sits in Washington deciding who he will assassinate (extra-judicially murder next) and rogues on Wall St continue to plunder the nation/world with impunity and gloat over the power they have over the president and Congress/Washington, the question needs to be asked, while they are killing, jailing and enslaving us for misdemeanours, when will we target them?

text The New Propaganda -- The New Slavery John Pilger via baz, Thursday, Mar 14 2013, 8:19am
What is modern propaganda? For many, it is the lies of a totalitarian state. In the 1970s, I met Leni Riefenstahl and asked her about her epic films that glorified the Nazis. Using revolutionary camera and lighting techniques, she produced a documentary form that mesmerized Germans; her Triumph of the Will cast Hitler's spell.
