US Descends into Pathological Infantilism over Assange Asylum
by trudy Saturday, Aug 18 2012, 5:44am
international / prose / post

Scratch a sociopath and the pathology simmering just under the surface soon becomes evident to everyone; notwithstanding the numerous previous instances of outright psychopathic behaviour from the US administration.

Assange
Assange

The criminal US ruling elite is already known for the Bin Laden, "Wanted Dead or Alive," simple Simon remark though no hard evidence or connection to 9/11 has ever been established; then there's Hillary who laughed as she, inadvertently admitted to the world that the USA was responsible for the illegal proxy extra-judicial assassination of Col. Gaddafi, "we came, we saw, he died"; but not to be outdone by his underlings we have the evil, homosexual sociopath-in-chief, Barack 'kill list' Obama, who not only jokes about civilian killing Drone missile attacks but gloats with comments like, "you won't see it coming!"

So what should a sane world expect from the world's leading civilian killing, lawless, sociopathic, rogue terrorist nation? More pathology of course and we have it in the form of the exceedingly INFANTILE reaction to the political asylum granted to Julian Assange by Ecuador.

Washington, no doubt in the throes of delusional omnipotence, is refusing to recognise the political asylum given to Assange by Ecuador, which will do the US immeasurable harm in the global community if it persists; the US State Department issued the following statement, "the United States is not a party to the 1954 OAS Convention on Diplomatic Asylum and does not recognise the concept of diplomatic asylum as a matter of international law."

It now becomes extremely apparent that the US also pressured the subservient British government to apprehend Assange under any circumstances, which the stupid Brits threatened to do. Washington also strongly disapproves of the meeting of the Permanent Council of the Organisation of American States to consider the Assange issue and the threat to violate sovereign foreign embassy territory.

Well, it's one thing for a sociopathic, rogue nation led by psychopaths to make demands but its another whether or not the world would openly support its LAWLESSNESS and criminal tactics.

Things are changing even as I write though sociopaths are too morbidly self-involved to notice anything past their own noses. Perhaps that change was most evident when Australia refused the US Navy permission to use its naval bases in Western Australia. Who would ever have imagined that Stephen 'kneepads' Smith, former groveller extraordinaire to Washington, now Oz Defence Minister, would declare Oz's sovereignty more important than America's demands of Canberra. Well, I can assure readers that if 'custard faced' knee-walking, spineless Aussie politicians are rejecting US demands things have changed indeed.

The USA may be in for an almighty shock over an Aussie narcissist, soap opera star who can't keep himself out of the papers; a fitting political demise for a psychopathic superpower, don't you think?

Report from The Economic Times follows:

US rejects diplomatic asylum to Julian Assange

WASHINGTON: The US has said that it does not recognise the concept of 'diplomatic asylum' after Ecuador allowed WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to remain in Quito's embassy in London.

Washington also came down hard on the move to convene a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Organisation of American States to consider the Assange issue.

A State Department statement said, "The United States is not a party to the 1954 OAS Convention on Diplomatic Asylum and does not recognise the concept of diplomatic asylum as a matter of international law."

The US statement came as the WikiLeaks founder continued to hole up in the Ecuador Embassy in Britain, with no signs yet of his move to seek a passage to Quito.

As the stalemate between Britain and Ecuador continued on the issue, Quito has offered to let Assange stay indefinitely in its embassy in London. Ecuador has also turned to OAS to seek support for its move to offer asylum to the fugitive Australian.

"We believe this is a bilateral issue between Ecuador and the United Kingdom and that the OAS has no role to play in this matter," the State Department said.

Supporters of the WikiLeaks founder believe that Assange is at risk of extradition to the US after angering American authorities by leaking out sensitive diplomatic cables.

Ecuador yesterday granted political asylum to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, setting stage for an unprecedented diplomatic stand-off with the UK, which has threatened to extradite him to Sweden come what may.

Assange dramatically sought refuge in the Ecuadoran embassy in London to evade extradition to Sweden to face sexual assault charges.
