The Media Sainthood of Mandela and how to Compromise Freedom
by jagga Sunday, Dec 8 2013, 9:41pm
international / prose / post

Firstly, allow me to neutralise inane criticism and state, with the utmost respect, that Nelson Mandela was an exceptional individual with a rare determination and tenacity -- his life is his testimonial. However, Mandela learned late to compromise his principles and allow the ruling overlords of his nation to maintain their hold on its resources, wealth and economy, the nation’s sovereignty in other words. Media figure-heads, fanfare, slogans, songs and waving flags do not constitute real FREEDOM -- OWNERSHIP of a nation’s natural wealth by the people is the first prerequisite for a just and free society and that clearly has not occurred since Mandela took leadership of South Africa. Today the nation is much the same as before, minus the overt racism; a two tier society of wealthy elites and a black slave class.

Puppet governments today are ‘par for the course’ and known minority ruling elites work behind the scenes and dictate policy to governments around the world. Real FREEDOM for South Africa would have entailed nationalising its diamond and gold mines or, at the very least, taking a controlling share in the multi-billion dollar industries that have lined the pockets of British and Dutch colonialists for centuries.

Mandela fell short of the final victory and compromised his principles and his people, notwithstanding the incredibly difficult challenges he faced. But to go that far and stop short of the final prize is a monumental travesty. We are reminded of the plebesite that a former PM of Oz -- ousted by the CIA -- could have EASILY precipitated but did not. We are also reminded of Mandela confronted by oppressed indigenous Australians on a visit to Oz after his release from prison, who begged him for assistance in their plight against racist Australia, Mandela remained mute and stuck to the itinerary (script) of his visit. It was and is a charade, never trust the PRIVATELY OWNED mass media when it focuses and glorifies any individual, the media serves those that own it, that simple!

Freedom and justice exist where disparity and unfair principles do not; the wages of bankers and CEOs, now in the hundreds of millions, indicate the slave nature of modern society where the vast majority of monitored, surveilled and police oppressed SUBJECTS earn a fraction of a fraction of the amounts ruling elites have appropriated for themselves.

These simple but fundamental principles apply across the GLOBAL board: only when an equitable distribution of wealth, social justice and fairness (uncorrupted judiciary/laws) prevail could a nation make claims to degrees of freedom. The REALITY today is a global PLUTOCRACY and mass slavery, which eventuated simply because the masses allowed themselves to be duped and intimidated.

Look at the social REALITY not the distracting fanfare and your eyes may begin to see and your spaghetti spines may begin to straighten.

The CHOICE has not changed throughout recorded history; servitude to a minority, criminal class or social FREEDOM and JUSTICE!

Vigilance prevents the vicious cycle of oppression and violent revolution that the human race seems doomed to repeat time and again. Wake up, RESTORE your nations, be vigilant and enjoy your hard won FREEDOMS.

The PEOPLE -- not private corporations -- must OWN and share in the WEALTH of their nations otherwise freedom is a FARCE!

"If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocities in the world, it is the United States of America." -- Nelson Mandela.
