Snowden just doesn’t add up

Professional analysts are trained to concentrate on patterns, flows of information that others do not see immediately. Sometimes it’s the pattern that reveals what was not intended to be revealed; other times it’s an anomaly, a break in the pattern, that indicates the truth of the matter. As can be appreciated it’s the way things fit or do not fit that illuminates what is generally intended to remain in the shadows; and so expert analysts are paid huge amounts by governments and agencies, as their skills are indeed rare and in high demand -- a good analyst is worth a team of spies in the field and a trove of digital metadata that requires processing/interpretation. But skill and expertise are not on issue here, the obvious is!

Recently, either by design or as a consequence of incompetence, the USA has been neon-sign advertising its Orwellian agenda and plans for world domination -- it does this simply because it has neutralised international war crimes courts and thoroughly corrupted local courts. When forces/powers that once brought criminals to justice fail or have been thoroughly corrupted criminals become brazen and arrogant and so the art of analysis is not in stating the obvious, that the sky is blue for instance, or engaging in charades like conducting highly theatric funeral rites for failed or sell-out revolutionaries (Mandela) but to simply form the most coherent picture from the pieces available.

It is stunning to read at times in the alternative press stories and headlines that are so absurd that they stagger reason and common sense, faculties once common in western populations. A recent headline reads, “Snowden vindicated;” the basis of the story is a legal ruling that states the obvious, that the sky is blue and that global, hyper-intrusive surveillance is illegal -- well, doh! it has been illegal for decades and no-one noticed, or is it that by stating the obvious the masses are induced into lowering their cognitive abilities, attention and reaction levels?

Facts remain firmly in the real world, in the domain of reason; Snowden is not vindicated by a known corrupt judiciary stating something that has been law for almost half a century, nor is he given credibility because his ‘revelations’ merely state what is already known -- that agencies engage in illegal intrusive surveillance on a global level!

But to the main flaws or incongruous breaks in the ‘flow of information’ and the pattern they form, but prior to that an example of the female intuitive response, which I value highly. A well known feminist author and activist recently published a book on cognitive cunts, or more broadly speaking, abstract holistic emotional thought and the components/qualities required to arrive at accurate conclusions without relying on reason and logical deduction exclusively.

This author immediately called into question Snowden’s credibility, integrity and authenticity based on the initial revelations, media presentations and the very obvious rush to bait China. Whether her cunt or reason alerted her is immaterial, her intuitive response signalled that something was not quite right about this guy Snowden and indeed in my view she was right.

Glenn Greenwald, chosen as the most suitable journalistic vehicle for Snowden’s trove of information, which was presented to Greenwald in perfectly arranged, indexed and formatted form -- Greenwald commented on the extraordinary precision (indexing) of the arranged physical notes -- now bear in mind that Greenwald is a trained lawyer not unfamiliar with compiling and accessing records and Snowden is purportedly a computer geek, a genus not known to be clerical in the least. Now add to this the intriguing selection of Chinese Hong Kong as a ‘safe’ asylum destination, which almost everyone with a brain, including HK legal officials could not fathom, and indeed your cunt would twitch as did my ‘intuitive cock’ -- I’ve put the book aside until retirement!

Put simply the Snowden affair does not add up!
