Flower Arranging

whether by the hand of an anatomist,
sociopath, artisan
or aesthetic,
a composition is struck

an arm twisted backward
extreme incongruity
and pain
a dry, dead cunt
denoting desolation,
a contorted neck as if broken
supporting a limp head with
the brightest blue eyes
staring vacantly --
odd bouquets indeed

compatible juxtapositions
or jarring incompatibilities?
but it’s the eye of the perceiver,
that is the final arranger
adding the finishing touch

good presentations are elusive
like dream lovers
yet the art persists
a symptom of cultural decadence
and perversity

playing with the genitalia of plants
is obscene
imagine a world where
plants are dominant --
watch a lantana adjusting
human piss flaps
and arranging penises
in a circle
around a vulva

obscene, n’est-ce pas?

post-modern
abstract arrangements
are created using UAV Drones
firing hellfire missiles
into civilian gatherings
rendering bodies into parts
strewn hundreds of metres
apart yet oddly arranged
in identifiable, grotesque patterns

but my favourite arrangement
is a promise yet to materialise
it’s the "bouquets of flowers"
Paul Wolfowitz claimed
American 'liberators' would receive
for slaughtering over one million
innocent Iraqi civilians
and stealing the nation’s
precious oil resource

arranging flowers is popular,
they are selling
rough bouquets in Baghdad,
the heads of neo-cons
with decorative bullet holes
in their foreheads

an adjacent stall
offers heads of American democrats
tied by the hair hanging in kinetic
mobile art displays
turning slowly
in the desert wind,
lifeless

the art of flower arranging
has spread to Africa,
Central Asia
throughout the world
in fact,
the most prized arrangements
are those brimming with American
flowers
the bonsai scrotums
of mass murdering soldiers
tiny American dicks
-- in plentiful supply --
adorn every international arrangement
from the Balkans to the borders
of Russia and China

international popularity
promises expert arrangements
to come
