The Oz Electorate is Not Amused

Yet another leadership contest between insular Oz politicians completely oblivious to the sentiment of the PEOPLE; indeed, the electorate is NOT amused by the antics of both major parties. It has become clear that Federal politics in Australia is all about ‘us,’ i.e., competing politicians, not the welfare of the people or nation.

Corporate lackeys, Gillard and Rudd

If there was ever a better argument to VOTE INDEPENDENT, if haven’t seen it -- today in Oz, insular, narcissistic politicians again went at each others’ throats to the great cost and detriment of the national interest -- which is for those that have lost the plot, the best possible deal/outcome for Australia and its people.

Kevin ‘do nothing, photo-op’ Rudd, true to form, refused to challenge after a leadership vote was announced by the incumbent lackey PM, Juliar ‘five US bases, G Sachs carbon tax’ Gillard -- we’ve seen this movie before and it does not deserve any further comment!

Australia should now focus on the track record and previous ‘form’ of Federal politicians; here’s just a few tell-tale actions: Juliar Gillard, in her capacity as deputy in the Rudd government, attempted to legally allow corporate bosses to spy on the personal emails and other digital communications of their employees -- in whose interests was that little manoeuvre attempted, it certainly was not in the interests of the AUSTRALIAN PEOPLE?

We need not dwell on her gross back-stab (LIE) to the people regarding the Goldman Sachs designed, Carbon Tax, a policy that has no effect whatsoever on climate but hugely benefits bankers and corporations while placing an extra burden on the PEOPLE.

Very little needs to be said about ‘do-nothing, show pony,’ Kevin Rudd, who is on record for stating, “once we win government we won’t have to do anything,” confirming that he is just another lackey and servant to corporate and elite interests; remember Rudd beaming a smile after that now infamous New York lunch (job interview) with Rupert Murdoch, who stated that he thought Rudd would make ‘a good prime minister,’ and prime minister, Rudd became!

So where is representative democracy in all these self-indulgent antics, morbid self-absorption and political machinations, nowhere to be seen?

The malaise is obvious and is not localised to Oz, it is a disease of plague proportions that has infected all western democracies, especially the USA.

Need we state now that voting for major political parties is a vote for plutocracy or moneyed elite interests not a vote for democracy? The remedy is clear, VOTE INDEPENDENT if you wish to restore Representative Democracy because today there is absolutely NO DOUBT whatsoever, that voting for major parties is voting for unrepresentative elite interests.
