text Peoples’ Victory in Egypt Portends Regional Reform judd, Thursday, Jul 4 2013, 12:12pm
As a result of massive civil protests in Egypt fundamentalist President Morsi has been deposed and a judge of the high court installed as an interim president until the matter is decided by the people, the military must be subordinate to the will of the people. It seems that the Arab Spring may have finally become a real peoples’ movement -- let’s hope it has and remains so. Moderates have secured an important victory by an overwhelming show of force which forced the military to remove Morsi from power -- 14 million citizens demanding a similar outcome is difficult to ignore.

Tony Abbott image Rudd Could Win! baz, Thursday, Jul 4 2013, 1:01am
There is a real though remote (at this stage) possibility that ‘hand-mirror’ Kevin Rudd could win the federal election by directly challenging the vacuity of the opposition’s policies, in fact they do not have any policies, only a ‘shopping list’ from the plutocrats, which Abbott obediently promised to follow should ‘they’ install him into office -- Abbott's only advantage is that he has Rinehart and Murdoch in his corner (at this stage). President Correa image Hidden microphone found at Ecuador's Embassy in UK Sam Jones via minh, Thursday, Jul 4 2013, 12:02am
Surveillance everywhere and numerous freedoms did shrink; surveillance everywhere but an easy matter to link!

Indeed, establishing exactly who planted the device and tracing signals is child's play. As the gross misconduct of European lackey nations in forcing Bolivia's presidential jet to ground in Austria and then illegally conducting a search indicated, it would appear that supremely arrogant America and its European allies/lackeys have cast propriety to the wind and could care less for any consequences arising from their overtly improper and offensive criminal activities. Bolivian President Evo Morales image America Demonstrates its Dominion Over Western Europe and its Spineless Leaders emile, Wednesday, Jul 3 2013, 11:11am
In probably the most outrageous display of Imperial arrogance in modern history, civilian killing, criminal rogue AMERICA exerts its almost complete dominance over the spineless leaders of Western Europe by forcing Bolivia’s Presidential jet to land in Austria on the suspicion that NSA leaker Edward Snowden was on board the craft. Notwithstanding the personal insult to Evo Morales, leader of a sovereign nation, this shocking example of America’s arrogance and insidious corrupt influence in Europe is astonishing. The FREE WORLD BEARS WITNESS to this flagrant disregard of diplomatic protocols and the height of uncivilised conduct -- but should we expect any different from primitive, rustic, American peasants and brutes? text The Politics of Distraction nano, Tuesday, Jul 2 2013, 1:26am
Indeed, political distraction has become an art form today but not the usual bauble or candy tricks we play on children when we wish to shift their focus away from some troubling issue; this game is played on a national scale but the formula and methods are the same.

text Washington's greatest Fear stan, Monday, Jul 1 2013, 3:01am
No, it isn't a nuclear attack on New York City, which is on the cards, or an assassinated expendable puppet President, which is also highly likely, it is the result of unbridled Corporatism. Privatisation of sensitive government activities, off-shoring, especially sub-contracting EVERYTHING, including national security, as the Snowden case so clearly highlights, is compromising national security. Leaking is the Achilles heal of Governments that allow rampant Corporatism to dictate national policy!

text Germany 'ready' to charge UK and US agencies over data Spying Tony Paterson via sam, Monday, Jul 1 2013, 2:22am
Take it with a grain of salt -- something doesn't add up! It was German (and Russian) hackers that originally exposed "echelon" -- a universal bugging program conducted by the USA over 20 years ago. At the time it was illegal for U.S. spy agencies to bug Americans locally so they did it from installations in Australia, the UK and Canada to mention a few. So why is Germany so 'put out' now when universal communications spying by the US has been revealed/known for decades?

text Soldiers chant, 'God bless America,' as civilians bombed in Fallujah sal, Saturday, Jun 29 2013, 1:47pm
Only twisted and warped human beings sing and chant while bombs drop on innocent civilians. Indeed, humans must be trained to murder each other but they do not require training to Love -- does that reality tell us something?

text Gillard deposed: "Australians deserve better than this" -- opposition leader baz, Wednesday, Jun 26 2013, 12:41pm
In the wake of yet another bloodletting in Oz politics, opposition leader Tony 'slasher' Abbott says 'Australia deserves better than this,' which is probably the most cogent statement made relating to yesterdays leadership musical chairs game that the doomed Labor Party likes to play.

Insular Gillard selfishly destroying her Party image Oz PM Gillard under Siege from ALL quarters sal, Wednesday, Jun 26 2013, 12:38am
An explosive day in Parliament today has led to more activity within Gillard's Party to remove her from the leadership. And Gillard's response to these major assaults on her leadership is falling back on the same tired, tattered and meaningless line, "I'm getting on with the job!" Well, let's have a close look at the main characteristics of 'her' job. (story and 1 image)
