Organic Food and Popular Myth – ‘chemical free,’ forget it! posted by eve, 2012-09-01 10:29:38 I have long been a believer and proponent of wild food as the healthiest food for human consumption – it stands to reason does it not? No chemical treatments whatsoever and an entirely natural (nature ‘certified’) organic environment. However, it has been a very long time since urban and rural populations went ‘walk-about’ gathering wild food and following seasonal pickings. So we are faced today with the reality of the intensive commercial production of organic and non-organic food. (full story) prose / international
Israel: greatest threat to world peace posted by dan, 2012-08-31 23:17:17 Following a recent assessment by an assortment of intelligence firms and US think tanks, which clearly state that Israel is the greatest threat to peace and stability in the region and that America's best interests are NOT served by supporting Israel, China and Egypt have asserted Palestine's right to Statehood. China calls for a return to 1967 borders, which is inadequate, however, Israel should be aware that continuing its outrageous oppression, genocide and land grabs will eventually result in the dissolution of the stolen State and the second scattering of Jews throughout the world! So you better attack Iran now and drag the globe into a major conflict, ay! It's your only option, Bibi, the jig is up! Reassure yourself with previous successful attacks on the USS Liberty and the World Trade Centres -- go on Israel, do what you MUST! (full story) prose / international

Emulating America - South African Authorities blame the Victim posted by hatter, 2012-08-31 00:13:54 After South African police massacred 34 unarmed striking miners the SA authorities, in a perfect American style 'blame the victim' ploy, charged striking miners for the murder of their comrades -- now try and get your mind around that insanity! Does it strike You as Odd? posted by cogito, 2012-08-30 03:48:04 I am tempted at times to initiate some form of brain and thinking exercises for the unthinking masses but then I resign myself to reality. Nevertheless, I offer the following as a possible reasoning exercise. (full story) prose / international
Australian Occupation forces targeted in Afghanistan posted by dirge, 2012-08-30 01:07:25 Three diggers were killed in Oruzgan province today by an unknown assailant wearing an Afghan uniform, who also managed to escape on foot. In another incident two Aussie SAS were killed in a helicopter crash in Helmund province. A sad day for Australia but we shouldn't be in Afghanistan fighting America's Corporate wars to begin with -- our stepped withdrawal cannot come soon enough. However, the tragedy in Afghanistan is overshadowed by the SORDID attempt of reprehensible LYING slag and Washington doormat, Juliar Gillard, attempting to gain political points by feebly making associations with the Bali bombing and the heroic battle of Long Tan -- give Oz a break!. Desmond Tutu Refuses to Share Platform with Tony Blair posted by staff report via judd, 2012-08-29 00:00:34 Integrity, morality and conscience are their own reward. They build character, courage and assuredness, come what may -- bravo, Mr Tutu! The global masses can hang their subservient, cowardly heads in shame allowing brazen, lying war criminals, Bush, Blair and Howard to remain at large and unpunished for their heinous roles in the 21st century's largest civilian HOLOCAUST. NAM - 118 Nations 'with the terrorists' posted by corrine, 2012-08-28 11:05:08 The 16th non-aligned movement summit hosted by Iran winds up on the 31 August and what a historic summit it was; if not for the conferences, new alliances and future plans, certainly for the assertion of national INDEPENDENCE of the 118 nations that attended. We recall now with considerable mirth America's feeble and simplistic attempt to dominate the world by dividing it into two camps. George Bush's now historically imbecilic ultimatum will go down in infamy; after the false flag 9/11 attacks Bush arrogantly stated to the world, "you're either with us or you're with the terrorists!" I wonder if Washington has added 118 nations to its terrorist list? (full story) prose / international

Carbon Tax, ETS and Political Obfuscation posted by sal, 2012-08-28 00:50:59 The story below is yet another mass media sell story on the Banker and Corporate designed Carbon Tax/ETS PENALTY scheme. After the EU and other nations put a price on Carbon -- air will be next as water already carries a price, unless of course you are a Transnational mining company like BHP mining in South Australia which pays nothing while drastically depleting the nation's valuable artesian basin water resource, but I digress -- what happened to the CO2 levels in the atmosphere since Kyoto? Tehran hosts 16th Summit of Non-aligned Movement of Independent Nations posted by rade, 2012-08-27 10:25:55 The non-aligned movement of nations (NAM) was founded in Belgrade in 1961 by Josip Broz Tito, Jawaharlal Nehru, Gamal Abdel Nasser, Kwame Nkrumah and president Sukarno of Indonesia, all legends of national liberation and independence. Founding members fiercely opposed colonialism and imperialism, advocating instead an independent course running between the two opposing Eastern and Western ideological extremes.
