The insular, elite serving Abbott conservative government is noted for its many callous, unfair policies – corporate tax avoiders continue to rip off Australia while burdened, underpaid citizens and the vulnerable suffer. So it is to be expected that ministers let revealing attitudes slip with gaffes on occasion. Living with Alice Oz Treasurer, Joe Hockey is in denial regarding real economic ‘growth’ the stock market floundering and money leaving Oz hand over fist, all indications of government managerial incompetence. The recent passing of Alan Bond, a notorious billionaire and bankrupt who destroyed the life savings of thousands of Australians is remembered as a flamboyant "likeable" rogue. It should clearly be stated at the outset that we are all Enlightened beings, as we are born spontaneously Aware. However, superimposed cultural learning or socialisation veils our understanding and creates a type of amnesia of the fact. We are then faced with a paradox if we decide to pursue Enlightenment, how do we achieve or gain what we already have? The problem amounts to the absurdity of attempting to locate something more immediate than the nose on your face. Nonetheless, countless people attempt to solve that impossible paradox by utilising the means – culturally learned behaviours -- which created the amnesia in the first instance, needless to say they fail miserably in the attempt? Puppet western politicians serve the unrepresentative corporate and banker elite, a self-evident reality for anyone that cares to simply look. These politicians are placed in power to serve their masters hence the obsessive focus on the overblown 'terrorist' threat, which is the least threat to citizens though it does facilitate social control of the masses, which the minority global elite fear to the extreme. And so when corporations slowly but effectively harm and kill MILLIONS of citizens with their toxic products, governments ignore that threat. Diabetes today is at plague proportions due to the food products that large corporations produce and professionally market to unaware citizens. The outrageously high, deleterious sugar/corn syrup content in the foods and drinks that corporations market are extremely simple to regulate but where are the governments dedicated to "keeping us safe," serving the elite agenda with lies and distractions, of course? The Corporate captured American Congress, the lawmaking body of government, has been labelled as "the poster child for cowardice" for failing to take responsibility for perpetual war. The reason is obvious, American politics is run by money, lots of it, and members of Congress fear for their positions if they oppose the powerful techno-weapons corporations. It all translates to a non-representative corporate controlled government -- democracy and representative government is a sorry joke in the USA, gutless politicians have been called to account and given the opportunity to make moral representative decisions rather than financially partial decisions for their actions and particularly their non-actions.
