Mrs Manning: My son is "Superman" posted by tide, 2013-08-04 11:37:15 Brad Manning's mother utilised the mass media to send a public message to her son, Bradley: "Susan Manning said he should know she considered him her "Superman". "Never give up hope, son," she was quoted as saying. "I know I may never see you again, but I know you will be free one day. I pray it is soon." (full story) prose / international
Orchestrated Global 'Terrorist' Alert to Counter Bad Press posted by visible, 2013-08-04 00:21:20 Yes indeed, the world's SUSTAINED focus on the LAWLESS criminals that control Washington today is proving too uncomfortable for the ruling Plutocracy; the Manning trial, Snowden, illegal NSA global surveillance etc; and wouldn't you know it, Washington has just issued a 'timely' GLOBAL TERRORIST ALERT for all US citizens -- LOL! Well, if nothing else it demonstrates the disconnect and insularity of the ruling elite -- the population is familiar/immune to fear inducing social management tactics as a result of the Bush regime overdoing it. Murdoch orders his chief assassin to dispatch Rudd posted by baz, 2013-08-03 12:42:54 Rudd had earned the ire of Murdoch before he was knifed by his then deputy, Gillard. Rudd simply would not do as he was told by the plutocrats, no matter how idiotic the errand. For instance, Murdoch had ordered Rudd to form a 'NATO of the South Pacific,' an imbecilic notion given the regional REALITY. Rudd ran the errand at a regional summit and failed, naturally. But Murdoch is unused to being defied, no matter how unrealistic the order/task from the CFR, so it was goodbye Rudd the narcissist and hello Gillard the Washington CFR doormat but also, as the 'boys' discovered later, the most inept, toxic and reviled politician on earth! "XKeyScore" Easily Circumvented posted by skip, 2013-08-03 04:52:54 Firstly, the latest alarming (for gullible morons) revelation from Snowden/Greenwald is the search and aggregate NSA package named "XKeyScore," which has the ability to track your every movement on the Internet; the Guardian link covers it adequately. However, it is far from the Big Brother wet dream of the most anal control freaks, as it has a serious inadequacy, which Snowden revealed -- and this man/agent is very noticeably careful with his words. 'The Himalayan Angle' and the Repercussions for Australia posted by Wayne Madsen via shlomo, 2013-08-03 03:03:35 This piece, by Wayne Madsen, concerns Australia as it confirms that Oz will be used as a platform by America in a very likely (read on) future conflict with China -- Australians can thank treasonous Gillard for signing over FIVE (5) nuclear capable US bases to be constructed on our soil and allowing our ports to be used by nuclear armed US Navy vessels, from which -- it is becoming more obvious by the day -- America would launch attacks on China. Some Achieve Greatness and some have Greatness Thrust Upon Them ... posted by nano, 2013-08-02 02:57:31 As history is my guide and witness, Bradley Manning’s supremely HEROIC gesture of revealing the truth of a criminal Pentagon and a thoroughly corrupt White House has done more to overthrow the corrupt, criminal powers that have hijacked American democracy than the efforts of many others combined -- Manning is truly a MAN of destiny! Bradley Manning Verdict Convicts the Pentagon and Washington posted by Paul Craig Roberts via sam, 2013-08-02 02:04:37 Bradley Manning’s conviction is more conclusive evidence that the US government is illegitimate. It did not take place in a real court with a real jury. The military officer who served as a “judge” was not impartial. Manning was convicted for obeying the US Military Code and doing his sworn duty to report war crimes. There is no difference between Manning’s “conviction” and the “conviction” of Bukharin as a capitalist spy. Both trials were political trials. (full story) prose / international
Snowden Granted Temporary Asylum in Russia posted by leon, 2013-08-01 15:23:33 Edward Snowden who is on record for refusing to reveal "harmful" information about US global surveillance, has been granted temporary and conditional asylum in Russia. (full story) prose / international
Global Financial Meltdown Inevitable posted by Sid, 2013-08-01 02:21:43 In a recent interview on Fox News, flamboyant American billionaire Donald Trump, predicted an American financial meltdown due to “ballooning national debt,” which interestingly goes against the arrogant public statement of former Fed chief Alan Greenspan, who almost laughed when confronted with the proposition that American debt may undermine the nation; to paraphrase, ‘it is impossible for a nation that prints the world’s default currency to be debt constrained, we would simply print our way out of debt if the need arose!’ [Search youtube for his comments.]
Do not be deceived, there are many misleading and contradictory reports about this "levy" in the local press; however, the fact remains, the idea was initially recommended to government by Genn Stevens, governor of the (RBA) Reserve Bank Australia -- have we got it, now? This unjustified, external lien on personal savings is an Australian precedent and represents the thin end of the wedge; recent history verifies the fact, take another look at new Bank legislation in Cyprus, Europe and the USA (full story) prose / international
America is Running out of Suitable Psychopaths posted by jed, 2013-07-31 03:12:24 The ruling plutocracy is lamenting. With Obama’s use-by date exceeded, this puppet president is now fully transparent and so ‘on the nose’ he is rank. As a result of ‘his’ liberal kill list, Drone wars, indefinite detention and global surveillance policies, etc., he is no longer viable to remain in office. So who is being groomed to replace him? Bradley Manning: The Expected 'Looking Glass' Verdict posted by Ed Pilkington via Alice, 2013-07-30 16:05:23 Manning was found guilty of 20 of the 22 charges brought against him by a proven criminal organisation (U.S. military) which, according to reason, ethics and logic, effectively defines Manning as INNOCENT! Meanwhile the war criminals Manning exposed were indirectly found innocent and sentenced to freedom. Such is American 'justice' today! (full story) prose / international

The Manning Trial and Criminal Inversion posted by judd, 2013-07-29 11:20:21 I just read that Bradley Manning supporters from more than 40 cities in America staged a demonstration at the offices of Maj. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan (note that name), convening authority of Manning’s case in Washington. Unsurprisingly, the peaceful efforts of protesters were to no avail, as the vast majority of Americans allow the killing of INNOCENT little children in illegal wars and the railroading of Manning to continue, notwithstanding that it was for the people that Manning sacrificed his personal Freedom and well-being – the ‘gratitude’ of the American people is beyond measure, to be sure!
