The BIG LIE Factory posted by suzie, 2017-08-31 01:10:20
The level of trust in our media ‘information’ systems is plummeting faster than the temperature in an Arctic winter and for very good reason. The mass media is owned and controlled by oligarchs and billionaire plutocrats that take pride in their ability to guide the cultural consciousness in whichever direction THEY collectively choose. However, when that machine breaks, as it has since the BIG LIE of 9/11 (external ‘terrorists’) and Iraq WMD, continuing illegal invasions based on now transparent pretexts, which blatant media propaganda facilitated. Consider the utter destruction of Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, Sudan, the Yugoslavian state, Syria etc etc, based on LIES (now exposed) though the list of ruined nations goes on and on. Hiding Behind Fighting ISIS U.S. Intends to Seize Syria’s Oil posted by Anna Jaunger via jill, 2017-08-29 22:04:57
As the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) progresses towards Deir Ezzor, the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), mostly made up of Syrian Kurds, began to prepare for a military offensive on the Syrian city in order to prevent legitimate government forces from re-establishing military control over their oil rich-territory. Truth posted by zed, 2017-08-29 12:27:57
Truth exists, another word for truth is reality and it is apprehendable but not by the senses or empirical observation/measurement because the REAL TRUTH is unutterable, beyond language and culture, beyond the five senses; do you believe, because if you do you live in ignorance, there is no room for belief or faith in Truth, it is self-evident. How Faith-based Thinking Helps Facilitate Alt-right, Racist, Illiberal, Anti-democratic Politics posted by Religion Dispatches via darcy, 2017-08-28 08:17:58
The inspiration for Hitler’s Monsters was, like Living With Hitler, in some respects contemporary. I began researching Living With Hitler in the early 2000s, in the wake of 9/11 and the Iraq War, when many American (and British) liberals appeared to be making cynical concessions to the forces of nationalism, imperialism, and autocracy. I wanted to understand why liberal-minded German Democrats appeared to make even more problematic concessions in the 1930s and 40s. Hitler’s Monsters was inspired, similarly, by contemporary questions: namely, in what way did supernatural, conspiratorial, faith-based thinking and an aversion to science and reason help facilitate “alt-right,” racist, illiberal, anti-democratic politics? The Deep State's Drug Racket posted by Pepe Escobar via mitch, 2017-08-28 00:37:00
Afghanistan is now the world's largest supplier of opium/heroin, no surprise. If readers care to join the dots with a little research, it would become apparent that wherever the CIA/Pentagon wage their illegal wars over an extended period, that area/region becomes a HUGE source of heroin (and cocaine from Latin America). Trump and his felon friend Joe Arpaio's Pardon by Trump Signals End of Justice System posted by jan, 2017-08-26 22:53:02
Attorney General, Jeff Sessions MUST be forced to resign after allowing Trump to interfere with the independent US legal/Justice system. Trump's unilateral pardon is an outrage as Arpaio's crimes are widely known and legally condemned, however, a neutered AG has failed his nation and his position. (full story)

How Central Banks are Creating the Next Financial Crisis posted by Jack Rasmus via jane, 2017-08-26 22:15:05
As central bankers, finance ministers, and government policy makers head off to their annual gathering at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, this August, 24-26, 2017, the key topic is whether the leading central banks in North America and Europe will continue to raise interest rates this year; another topic high on the agenda is when the three major central banks – the Federal Reserve, European Central Bank and Bank of England – might begin to sell off their combined US$9.8 trillion dollar balance sheets that they accumulated since the 2008-09 banking crisis. Sebastian Gorka, centralist and fascist The Last of the Bannonites, Sebastian Gorka, ousted from White House posted by nell, 2017-08-25 23:55:07
The last of the scorched earth Bannonite ideologues has been forced to resign from his position as deputy assistant to the president, make no mistake. His forced departure leaves Trump castrated and completely under the control of unrepresentative deep state, perpetual war forces -- prospects for the WORLD look grim, as it is widely known that deep state forces pursue war and more war, though their record in this area is clearly catastrophic, but such is the condition of avaricious criminal psychopaths. The CIA and Me (Or How I Learned Not to Love Big Brother) posted by Dr Al McCoy via shirl, 2017-08-25 09:58:31
In the wake of the 2001 terrorist attacks, Washington pursued its elusive enemies across the landscapes of Asia and Africa, thanks in part to a massive expansion of its intelligence infrastructure, particularly of the emerging technologies for digital surveillance, agile drones, and biometric identification. In 2010, almost a decade into this secret war with its voracious appetite for information, the Washington Post reported that the national security state had swelled into a “fourth branch” of the federal government -- with 854,000 vetted officials, 263 security organizations, and over 3,000 intelligence units, issuing 50,000 special reports every year. ‘Sticks and Stones ...’ posted by refo, 2017-08-25 00:14:45
With the world teetering on nuclear warfare it is astonishing that the American mass media is pursuing freedom of speech issues relating to the overt racism of that nation. Racism in America is a given, the world is aware of it, which other nation would ignore the crimes of Iraq, Libya, Syria, which are parallel to Hitler’s Nazi atrocities -- “we came, we saw, he died,” (Clinton) or how about killing over 500,000 Iraqi infants and young children is worth the STOLEN barrel of oil (Albright) -- at least 1.5 million INNOCENT ‘Iraqi’ (Arab) men, women and children murdered by the US and tens of millions displaced, and you doodle dreamboats are concerned about petty “statue” racism in the South -- get a fuckin’ grip for Christ’s sake. The Privatization of Water: Nestlé Denies that Water is a Fundamental Human Right posted by Kevin Samson via jane, 2017-08-23 23:21:03
The current Chairman and former CEO of Nestlé, the largest producer of food products in the world, believes that the answer to global water issues is privatization. This statement is on record from the wonderful company that has peddled junk food in the Amazon, has invested money to thwart the labeling of GMO-filled products, has a disturbing health and ethics record for its infant formula, and has deployed a cyber army to monitor Internet criticism and shape discussions in social media. USA -- International Laughing Stock for Very Valid Reasons posted by darcy, 2017-08-23 22:24:56
Nations around the globe watch the ineptitudes and antics of the USA and its completely incompetent, pathologically flawed leader, Donald Trump with dismay, shock, amusement and satisfaction -- a strange mix; however, many have missed the critical symptoms of a state unravelling, which the US Navy signals to the world and what applies to one section of the US military applies to the others, though with varying degrees of incompetence and disarray. Infantilism and the Fate of the World posted by claire, 2017-08-22 23:55:14
As children we are taught and forced by circumstance to take RESPONSIBILITY for our lives, those that resist become pathological personalities, infants in adult bodies, displaying all the characteristics of infants, chucking tantrums and blaming others when things do not go their way; maturing adults must navigate new opposing forces as they develop as a matter of survival -- which forces are varied but for the sake of simplicity loosely characterised here into positive and negative or constructive and destructive. Those that succeed in assessing, balancing and learning lessons from all the forces and circumstances that confront them become mature successful adults. (full story)

Incompetent Buffoon Trump: Dead Man Walking posted by justin, 2017-08-21 01:14:28
No matter which perspective you take, Trump is finished. Many informed analysts and commentators attribute his inglorious demise to the Washington swamp or deep state, however, they were simply the means by which Trump brought himself undone, perhaps the deep state realised that if they persisted in their orchestrated attacks/agenda to remove him from office, Trump would do the rest himself. And surely he has. (full story)
