Gillard: Austerity by Any Other Name
by baz Monday, Apr 29 2013, 9:22am
international / prose / post

The reviled and extraordinarily INCOMPETENT Oz PM, Juliar Gillard, recently hinted at European style austerity measures for Australia in her latest press release, which is an extremely unusual/revealing turn of events considering her previous promises and the status of Australia as an extremely wealthy nation.

Corporate lackeys, Gillard and Treasurer, Swan
Corporate lackeys, Gillard and Treasurer, Swan

Austerity is understandable for bludging Greeks, Poms, Spaniards, Italians, Portuguese, Irish and a host of other European non-substantial economy nations, but Oz remains one of the largest suppliers of resources in the world and the Transnationals exploiting OUR mineral wealth have never seen higher profits BUT Gillard, a known Washington and CORPORATE LACKEY, is about to SLUG the PUBLIC with severe cutbacks (austerity) for HER economic FAILURES/shortfalls -- put simply she FAILED to adequately TAX the Transnationals that have been raping the nation of its FINITE resource wealth.

Now here’s a priceless statement from the mouth of that reprehensible sell-out bitch herself, ‘everyone has to cover their share of the burden,’ which simply means the people, not the corporations will be slugged, remember how EASILY the corporations avoided the “burden" of the mining tax! Readers will also note that the people are now required to foot the shortfall bill when they didn’t ‘share’ in the profits and other benefits of the resource boom -- which continued for almost 20 years!

In view of the historical fact that big business, the Banks and Corporations, have never seen it so good in Australia it would seem entirely inappropriate to introduce AUSTERITY measures but that is exactly what Gillard has been instructed to do and what we know about her is that she unreservedly obeys unrepresentative minority elites rather than serve the best interests of the people -- I still wonder how it is she hasn’t been shot by an equal opportunity, non-sexist assassin; she is unquestionably the most reviled woman in Australian history!

Now recall former PM Rudd’s monumental gaffe, to paraphrase, ‘after we win office we won’t have to do anything;’ meaning non-representative Plutocrats and Big Business will dictate policy and make all the decisions -- well, NOTHING has changed regardless of whether it’s Rudd, Gillard or Abbott (more on him later) in office.

Gillard is simply implementing what mega-wealthy Plutocrats dictate, she has nothing to lose as the election is ALREADY LOST. Now to Abbott who will win the next election by default and by the assurance of Oz Plutocrats, Murdoch and iron ore magnate Gina Rinehart -- here’s the policies (courtesy of GetUp) the Plutocrats have planned for Abbott:

Of course the SOLUTION is CLEAR; boycott the major bought parties and VOTE REPRESENTATIVE INDEPENDENTS into office at every election Federal and State.

Return Australia to its rightful owners, THE PEOPLE; restore democracy and share all national wealth and burdens equitably throughout society -- and while we’re at it, are there any equal opportunity assassins out there?
