a truckload of cares
is removed
with each step
walking
thru time, space and memory
only knowing - things -
when moving
walking
thru the past
which appears as a carousel
of images strangely detached
from the present
walking
moving in this world
and others,
'and how r u today?’
glints the old lady
watering her flower-garden
neighbours nod, strangers smile
women fix their gaze on something
i am not aware of
it happens so often i check
to see if my fly is undone
or whether that pleasant feeling
in my groin
is the wind blowing over my glans
or some strange alien from
outer-space sucking my cock
but it’s the walking that is pleasant
step by step
10K a day, i have yet to calculate
how many kilometres over a year
how did i arrive at this point?
step by step
there r no shortcuts
i wasted many years looking
for American shortcuts
but no safe
avenues presented,
America is doomed
the expedient course is
fraught with danger,
signposts all point to ruin
deliberate steps open wide horizons
presenting numerous alternatives
and viable options
cocaine gratification
and short-term thinking,
destroyed the global economy
and amputated a successful future
as the world races to its inevitable
destiny it's the walkers
that will build
the new world
[step by solid step allowed
China to rise to superpower
status in a few decades
while hedonists
and short-term thinkers
prepare a grave for America]
