Post Modernism as Weapon

For those unaware of the post modern approach it could be reduced to the interpreter, reader, decoder, of culture constructing their own reality outside prescribed existing patterns; sounds good and seems neat and tidy, doesn’t it? However, the major flaw is that cultural subjects continue to be LED by narratives designed and broadcast by various media, 99% of which are owned by vested interests -- take note. And as we know all media today is obsessed with reducing social units or individuals to pliable subjects. Consider first the ‘new’ approach to gender; today ‘gender’ is something chosen, how absurd as nothing could ever alter the mammalian division of the sexes, but as we are informed by the media and other educators, gender is a social construct and therefore it becomes subject to further change. For instance, females imposing on others to refer to them as “he” and males of course doing likewise as she; it’s all very post modern but also very disturbing as once an identiy, which is also socially formulated and constructed, is created it becomes subject to subversion in a post modern world by those that create the dominant discourse or dominant social narrative.
Now, it’s one thing to call yourself Harry if female and Gertrude if male, but the reality of the sexual divide persists in humans as it does in nature. So the purpose is purely political but to what end? Clearly gender subversion, which creates amorphous identities which in turn subverts foundations of being and creates evermore insecurity allowing for, you guessed it, I hope, a more pliable, less resistant to dominant media narratives in society. An accidental process? I doubt it!
Now please note where this PM political discourse occurs most frequently, in the mass media, social media and now in classrooms.
So to what end, weakening identity and creating evermore insecurity in individuals, perhaps? So please refer to me as ‘it,’ as I have never considered myself part of the human race and have very little in common with it today. So for those that either choose or are taught post modernism usually in various disguises, as if it were taught in its pure form the majority would reject it; however, when it is delivered as something desirable, as it allows for power plays, then it is more likely to be adopted -- but note ALL the hierarchical communication processes involved, which very few ‘subjects’ that swallow PM, as ‘viable,’ do.
A PM world, as becomes evident, subverts, alienates and divides people, therefore by consequence it creates the need to belong or subscribe to some media ‘group think’ as people fear isolation and rejection, ask the question, who stands to benefit from this destructive process? We are for survivals sake, a very social species. Though that and all other notions are also subject to attack in a PM world. Then ask who creates and manages group think?
Post Modernist thought and disciplines do have their uses in analysis and warfare as they reveal more than appears to the naked, untrained eye, however, for non-specialists PM is clearly unhelpful as it creates evermore need to belong to something or alternatively to exercise power over others, mostly feeble minded, impressionable, insecure others, and today there is certainly no shortage of that type.
Now please do not forget that PM is LEARNED, primarily from the media, which has always been the medium for the dominant (mainstream) social discourse or narrative, and as we all should be aware, media today is devoid of integrity, in fact it has become a propaganda apparatus utilised expertly by of course, its owners and their associates/milieu, plutocrats and oligarchs, for the most part.
An instance occurred recently with a group of uni students and recent graduates over a dinner gathering where one of the biological females now named, Max, attempted to impose further on her group of friends by insisting that they refer to her as “he” in future, this group all belong to the millennial generation, of course. Well, heartening to hear -- I am taking the conscious liberty to be politically incorrect by spraying value judgements everywhere -- few of her friends were interested in this further imposition though most didn’t mind referring to her as, Max.
From further (amusing) reports of that occasion it would seem that her group had drawn a line, and that line was blow your power tripping out your arse, a clear instance of a total PM meltdown in the REAL WORLD, I’m very pleased to report.
The insecurity and instability of this young lost woman (god forbid I call her a girl!) was/is self-evident, as is her insecure need to assert political power by attempting to impose her values on others. What this unfortunate girl failed to APPRECIATE, is that she had learned PM and its characteristic behaviours from culture, so it becomes clear that one cannot subvert culture with culture, or douse a fire with fire. Fairly obvious, to all except of course, post modernists.
Nevertheless, everyone should attempt to create their own reality then test its viability in the REAL WORLD, the same applies to extreme political correctness, as in ‘girl-woman’ arguments, for mine I would simply ask the offended politically correct SLAVE to define ‘girl’ and then define ‘woman,’ which allows for hanging them up to dry based on their entirely subjective views.
ALL cultural values are arbitrary, pure and simple, as is clearly evident in the various distinctive taboos and divergent values of different cultures. All attempts at PM or politically correct impositions on others are doomed to fail in the broad social sense unless the ‘imposing’ person is a media mogul, which would give a decided advantage.
For the rest, at best, all learned thought and associated behaviours reduce to creating a fiction within a fiction and that process is clearly self-defeating.
