Assange and False Hope
by baz Friday, Feb 5 2016, 10:25pm
international / prose / post

Assange supporters have been buoyed recently by a UN declaration that he has been ‘arbitrarily detained.’ Indeed he has, however, what chance does Assange have of gaining his freedom? Little if reality is assessed.

Julian Assange
Julian Assange

Firstly, the UN group’s conclusion is not binding on any signatory State and we have already witnessed ignorant UK officials poo poo the report in an incredibly insulting (to the professionalism of the UN group) fashion. Furthermore, the obsequious to the US Swedish authorities remain adamant that he should be returned to Sweden for questioning over alleged sexual offences, though he has never been charged with any offence in that regard, which only highlights the criminal nature of the forces that wish to nail Assange for publishing US war and other crimes against humanity.

People forget the outrageous case against Chelsea Manning, which makes Alice in Wonderland Red Queen justice look credible. Manning was tried by the accused military though he was the accuser, and that absurd case was allowed to proceed simply due to the fact that the USA is the leading law-flouting, criminal nation on the planet. American justice is a joke, as most people are aware. So who is it behind all the travails Assange is suffering? Why, America of course! US officials are on record as stating that if they can’t get their murderous criminal hands on him then they would endeavour to contain him indefinitely ‘in a box’ until he wilts away. These officials found that prospect/strategy amusing, I would add.

So what chance does LAW have of freeing Assange in the circumstances, Buckley’s and none, plain as day. However, that does not mean Assange should capitulate or give up the fight though that is unlikely given the determination of his supporters, which include influential personages.

The legal pursuit is futile, though it must be maintained and so the best option is to embarrass the hell out of all nations involved in Assange's essentially illegal forced detention. That would include exposing America’s behind the scenes influence, for the entire world to see, and compromise complicit puppet nations such as the UK, Sweden and not least, Australia, which nation should be screaming about the gross injustices inflicted on an Australian citizen, little chance of that occurring, however, it’s an election year, got it, Julian, compromise both major puppet parties?

Now, complicit vassal nations are nothing if not obedient to the law-flouting, criminal USA and so an extreme, persistent and relentless MEDIA CAMPAIGN is the best hope Assange has. And as we are all aware he knows how to play the media, however, the western media is controlled by the CFR in New York and that is the major problem, as alternative media outlets have little influence on the masses. Nevertheless, if enough high profile personages bellow loud and long enough, the Assange case should get some traction, it’s a matter of skill and media tactics.

I support Assange not because I like him, I don't, I support him as a fellow Aussie who has an acute sense of justice and fair play, which all Aussies share, characteristics unheard of in the USA. And I would request of non-supporters to rally behind Assange, not for his sake, but for the greater good of all humanity now suffering extreme hardship at the hands of gangster America and its mafia ways, which include secret 'kill lists' and extra-judicial murders, legal torture, indefinite detention without charge or hope of representation, secret rendition prisons, mass murders of innocent civilians in illegal proxy wars and many other crimes inflicted on humanity.

America is the most reviled nation on earth, well deserved, and must be constantly attacked as the force behind Assange's abhorrent treatment and predicament, though Chelsea Manning, currently languishing in a military prison for nothing more than fulfilling his moral duty and oath to protect his nation against all enemies, is ten times the man/woman Assange could ever hope to be, as Manning took to the United ‘criminal’ States head on, fully aware of the consequences.

Now a final word to CORRUPT Swedish prosecutors, if you are so confident of a case against Assange either charge him or accede to the request by Ecuador to interview him at their London embassy, simple. As for chief prosecutor Ny, it's a wonder she hasn't tripped, fallen down stairs and broken her neck! But then, people live in false and real hope.
