Lions and Sheep

What is it that transforms a powerful dignified lion into a timid sheep? In today’s cultural terms that is easily answered -- the corporate media. The mass media and the vested interests it serves, seek to maintain a fear driven, apathetic, divided society, which they have concluded is not fit to interfere with the self-serving decision making process of minority elites. The last thing these elites want is a unified population that resists THEIR status quo.

And so we have a media regime in place in the west, one based on fictions, misinformation, subterfuge, misrepresentations and outright big calculated lies that serve to forever, re-enforce the superimposition that the masses are powerless and require management and that governments are ‘protecting’ them with perpetual war and social oppression. However, it is clear that no government or responsible group sends its people to fight and die in corporate wars for profit, so hang national security up to dry.

Only a few decades past citizens would have hit the streets en masse at the hint of an indefinite detention law or ‘legal’ torture and secret assassination lists; the issues accepted today would have sparked a violent revolution in the past, so we must acknowledge that elites have done their research and have developed methods that are supremely effective. The locking down of Boston in pursuit of ONE seriously wounded teenager was a test scenario to see what the people would do in such circumstances and to soften the nation for further massive intrusions into personal freedoms -- how much more valid proof do you want of the efficiency of corporate media methods?

People today not only accept the unprecedented, mammoth loss of rights and clear abuses of regulatory power, they seem to relish every inroad into their privacy and social liberties. Censorship parading as copyright enforcement is how elites intend to silence the independent media that finds expression on the Internet. And so, based on an existing track record, we can expect complete social oppression/suppression -- the agencies have now flagged that they have the ability to spy on all our individual digital communications at will; agents like Ed Snowden assisted in the elitist media campaign to make, ‘big brother is watching you,’ internationally known. The truth is with the adoption of minimal precautions, agencies have no idea of the source of the data they obsessively and constantly vacuum from digital communication channels.

Yet there exists in every sheepish subject the potential to be a lion and not be taken for granted or worse, treated as a sub-human that lacks the capacity to determine right from wrong or to determine one’s own personal future. Try to recall the last time any western politician actually did what he/she promised during the election campaign. Usually their actions after gaining office are diametrically opposed to what they promised the people, and so democracy is effectively dead and not a whimper from the people upon losing the basis of all their hard-won rights and liberties.

You’ve heard it all before and are suffering from information overload fatigue with its symptomatic aversion to all ‘negative’ news. But there is a real solution and its immediately apprehensible to all. If you want social change then first BE that change yourself, transform your own life according to your innate instincts, which I trust implicitly, as they are common to all humanity, the desire for peace and harmony and the right to be happy and free from all oppression and artifical constraints.

Indeed, all social change begins with personal change, self-transformation at the grass roots must precede all positive social reforms, I know, you’ve heard it all before, nevertheless, it is fact, TRUTH! If you do not wish to allow the Truth to set you free then be happy with your oppressed sheep/slave status and the constant flow of cultural effluent that issues from the self-serving corporate media.
