Prior to reposting this story every Aussie should be made aware that DEMOCRACY does NOT allow for UNREPRESENTATIVE 'king makers' or breakers to control the halls of power -- who the fuck does Murdoch think he is gallivanting around the western world SUBVERTING DEMOCRACY, terrorising politicians and arranging which leader HE decides will be elected via the sheer persuasive force of his media empire. Murdoch's behaviour is tantamount to political SUBVERSION and all governments should legislate that media groups/barons found guilty of extreme BIAS, with a view to manipulating election outcomes, would have ALL their media enterprises nationalised in the PUBLIC and State interest. It is a VERY SIMPLE MATTER INDEED TO bridle types like Murdoch -- consider also that his media empire serves NO USEFUL PUBLIC PURPOSE and would NOT be missed if it disappeared overnight!
Murdoch and other CFR connected media groups/empires must be regulated into the ground if the world wishes to function in free social environments -- the OUTRIGHT LIES and PROPAGANDA that spew from Murdoch's media on a DAILY basis is an offence to every fair-minded, thinking human being on the planet.
Enough real evidence exists to have this man put on trial for war crimes, treason and other subversive activities in multiple nations. Types like Murdoch should never be feared or given any privileges or latitude whatsoever, they SHOULD BE CONTAINED in extremely TIGHT REGULATORY environments as they SERVE NO CONSTRUCTIVE PURPOSE! Are you reading this Rupert, the real WRITING/story is on the Wall!
Murdoch order to 'kill Whitlam'
staff report AAP
Rupert Murdoch reportedly instructed his editors to "kill Whitlam" before the fall of the Labor government in 1975.
Fairfax says the News Corporation chief's directive regarding former Labor leader Gough Whitlam is revealed in a diplomatic report from the US dated 1975.
The telegram from the US Consul-General in Melbourne, Robert Brand, reported to the state Department that "Rupert Murdoch has issued (a) confidential instruction to editors of newspapers he controls to 'Kill Whitlam'".
Mr Brand makes it clear that the words "kill Whitlam" were used in a political context and not as a physical threat, Fairfax says.
Mr Brand noted that Mr Murdoch had previously supported Mr Whitlam's election but his publishing empire turned against the leader.
"If Murdoch attack directed against Whitlam personally this could presage hard times for Prime Minister; but if against Labor government would be dire news for party," the telegraph reportedly said.
