Consider the Failing US Empire and the Rise and Fall of Mosul
by reg Wednesday, Jun 11 2014, 3:27am
international / prose / post

The immoral and grossly illegal actions of the aspiring American empire in Iraq is reflected in its general demise as a world power -- history bears witness to an undeniable pattern of events that precede the collapse of all Empires.

Take note of the following sequence of historical events listed by the SMH and come to your own conclusion about American lies, 'victory, mission accomplished' and the continuous crap that issues from the White House and CFR owned America media/propaganda apparatuses.

America is fighting 19th century wars with 20th century weapons and tactics and therefore must fail, as is clearly the case in Iraq, Afghanistan and other occupied nations.

Consider the backbone of American naval power for example; the nuclear powered super carriers that ply the seas of the world are in REALITY sitting ducks. China, many other smaller nuclear powers are also capable, saw immediately it was not able to compete head-to-head with this carrier fleet, so what would post modern 21st century tactics demand? A LATERAL response for which the Chinese are famed throughout history.

The Chinese focused on the less cumbersome and expensive but deadly effective option. China has successfully developed an 'ICMB' or specialised missile that targets aircraft carriers and other large nuclear powered vessels; it has a published range of 3000K and is deadly accurate, guided by cutting edge technologies -- it does not miss in other words. Furthermore, it can be launched from air, land or sea.

It immediately becomes clear that such an inexpensive and easily mass produced highly sophisticated weapon effectively ENDS U.S. global naval domination. A brilliant post modern strategy by China, which, it should be noted, does not invade, murder millions of innocent civilians, install puppet governments that facilitate the theft of valuable resources and the oppression of local populations!

It should also be noted that these new Chinese weapons technologies are purely defensive in nature and are meant to deter any delinquent superpower or other violent nation.

History records that the Chinese developed post modern warfare over two thousand years ago; the extremely brutish, rustic tactics of the USA are easily dealt with, especially with sophisticated Chinese nuclear weaponry; however, as this short intro is primarily meant to highlight the stupidity of antiquated American strategies and tactics, I leave you to the listings provided by the SMH and urge everyone not to believe a single WORD that issues from the criminal White House and the propagandist/fiction-weaving, U.S. mass media -- the REALITY is simply that the USA is in RAPID DECLINE:

The rise and fall of Mosul
by staff report

April 11, 2003: Two days after the fall of Baghdad, US forces capture Mosul as the Iraqi Army's 5th Corps surrenders.

July 22, 2003: Saddam Hussein's fugitive sons, Uday and Qusay, are killed in a gunbattle in the city.

June 24, 2004: A series of carbombs in the city kill 62 people, many of them police officers.

November 10, 2004: Police flee the city after a series of attacks on their stations. The US 25th Infantry and coalition forces recapture the city in the Battle of Mosul.

December 2007: Mosul airport briefly reopens, with the first commercial flight since the US declared a no-fly zone over northern Iraq in 1993. The airport is eventually returned to the Iraqi government in 2011.

May 10, 2008: Military offensive launched by US-backed Iraqi forces to restore security in the city.

December 2011: US forces complete withdrawal from Iraq, leaving a US consulate in Mosul with 1000 staff.

June 10, 2014: Militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) take over the city, forcing thousands to flee.
