There is an old adage which reads something like, ‘one man’s criminal is another man’s hero,’ and in reference to Wesfarmers Coles CEO, Ian McLeod, that adage couldn’t run closer to the grain.

Australia is home to various Middle Eastern groups whose criminal gangs specialise in illegal drug distribution, heroin importation (and distribution) auto theft -- on a international scale -- and even gang rape of young Aussie girls foolish enough to get involved with these sordid types; Australia is not unfamiliar with Middle Eastern characters and their vocational preferences.

So it comes as no surprise that a local CEO who has been hauled before the Federal Court by the government regulator for “dishonest, misleading and deceptive” retail practices, would be viewed by others, with a similar contempt for the Law, as a highly efficient and desirable operator.

But is it all about profit at any cost? For some, obviously yes, but fortunately the vast majority of global citizens subscribe to much higher ethical and moral standards.

We sincerely hope that Ian McLeod will find it more to his liking to be among kindred spirits in the Middle East; as one scumbag said to the other, “scumbags, I don’t see any scumbags!”

Frankly, Ian McLeod’s departure from Australian shores couldn't occur quick enough. Oz has no need of sordid COWARDS that create numerous legal problems for traditional retailers and then resign their positions a few days prior to court proceedings.
