Russia is Hurting Big Time posted by dusan, 2017-10-13 03:12:30 The news never covers what years of imposed sanctions, based primarily on fabricated charges and distortions, have done to the Russian economy, which was always vulnerable to this type of attack. The Russian economy is not broad, as it’s largely based on energy supplies to Europe and former satellites and so if sanctions on its main source of income hit hard, then the same collapse that affected the Soviet Union would affect Russia today. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. posted by John W. Whitehead via darcy, 2017-10-13 01:35:38 However, it takes a culture of entitlement and a nation of compliant, willfully ignorant, politically divided citizens to provide the foundations of tyranny. It's nuclear WAR, Whether the People Like it or Not! posted by Finian Cunningham via jess, 2017-10-12 21:08:18 We would note recent news that Mad dog Mattis, "it's fun to shoot people," of the Pentagon arm of elite aggression, alerted his military to be ready (for war), which has been planned and is ready to proceed. If responsible western journalists took the minor trouble to connect all the obvious dots in the western shaped news that conclusion would be obvious to all. However, as we should all know, western media is also shaped and controlled by elite (CFR) interests, which habitually withhold critical information from the public which they view as alarming enough to interfere with THEIR plans. Nevertheless, a few real journalists endeavour to inform the global community of impending danger in order to inform and alert the public of nefarious elite plans in their manic effort to realise a one world authoritarian government. Trump and Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) -- Adoration posted by carl, 2017-10-12 09:37:29 It seems that those who should know better are happy to allow Trump to remain as President until he hangs himself, his approval rating has now plummeted in every US state, so minders tend to keep unreeling the ‘rope’ due to the personal risks and political repercussions of direct removal. However, what they should but do not know about the illness of NPD is that NPD sufferers require/demand prominence and adoration. If they fail to obtain this and people ignore or turn against them, they tend to suddenly and unpredictably go to extremes in vain attempts to regain former standing, delusional or otherwise. What Day Is It, America? posted by bob, 2017-10-11 22:14:46 America today is a soft, though hardening by the day, dictatorship. We have a political buffoon as president maneuvered into position by an elite ruling class of bankers and corporatists, you see, narcissistic, personality flawed buffoons are useful and easily tamed by elites. Tillerson: I Will Continue to Serve Under the Moron posted by Gary Leupp via jane, 2017-10-11 00:12:35 Thesis: If the U.S. secretary of state, in the presence of other cabinet members, calls the U.S. President a “moron,” he probably is a moron. (full story) prose / international
Unacceptable posted by kuang, 2017-10-10 01:39:13 The world cannot, and hopefully will not, allow lunatic Trump, goaded by the Pentagon, to which he deferred foreign policy matters, to initiate a war with North Korea. (full story) prose / international
“Actions Speak LOUDER Than Words”, Russia posted by cyd, 2017-10-09 23:23:57 The Russian FM, Sergei Lavrov, has done it again, how absolutely ineffective and meaningless, words do not cut it in Washington, you dumb Russians. Lavrov “warned” the USA not to escalate the Korean crisis, which infant imbecile Trump is aggravating to the extreme with his rants and tantrums. (full story) prose / international
No Shortage of Heroes posted by dulcie, 2017-10-09 00:04:55 In a world populated by nose-ringed digital slaves today, which are intentionally alienated by the digital media, it seems that heroes have become a rare occurrence. However, that is not the case as any designated hero of the past, if still living, would inform you that they are just people that acted beyond the call under extreme duress, we often hear, “anyone would have done what I did under the circumstances,” or “there was no choice but to act.” In fact heroes are often created by circumstance. Indeed, we are all potential heroes, at least those of us that have maintained an independent identity not formulated and shaped by the digital media. (full story) prose / international
How Billionaires Become Billionaires posted by Prof. James Petras via suzie, 2017-10-08 20:43:30 The answer, to put it succinctly, is by CHEATING and exploiting the system, however, the information offered below is useful and accurate. It amounts to engineered privilege and begs the question, why do average people which carry their nations on their breaking backs tolerate these gross injustices and obvious rorts? Psych Ward USA posted by John Davis via jess, 2017-10-08 00:00:45 It started at the end of the fifteenth century. A cohort of brutal, sociopathic Europeans, fresh from the torture rooms of the Spanish Inquisition, and later from duty in the religious wars, arrived on American shores to kick butt. By 1610, they and their successors, by steel sword, axe, knife, and pike, biological pathogens and very occasionally by blunderbuss, had killed fifty million largely stone-age indigenous people. In the northern temperate zone of this vast continent, some of those mass murderers became the founding patients of the Psych Ward; others followed, less blood thirsty perhaps, but they too quickly adopted the deadly imperial ethos established by those first conquerors. This is the institution in which we Americans now find ourselves immured. (full story) prose / international
Calling a spade a spade and a Moron a Moron posted by jake, 2017-10-07 23:10:40 Rex Tillerson infuriated Trump by accurately portraying him as what he is, a MORON! Now, a personality flawed, ignorant narcissist cannot stand for this type of truthful revelation/appellation though the entire civilised world OUTSIDE the US is aware of the fact. Gold Convertibility of the Petro-Yuan posted by Federico Pieraccini via suzie, 2017-10-07 01:02:39 While Washington is doing its criminal best to STEAL the precious oil resources of weaker Middle Eastern nations, China, and to a lesser extent untrustworthy Russia, have been exploiting America's manic singular focus on THEFT. China has been investing heavily in Pacific and Indian Ocean Island nations, Africa and Latin America, it has made HUGE gains in these regions; why not, the USA is known to be linear in thought, behaviour and action? And so the entire world outside the Middle East is Russia's/China's oyster. So far ahead of America are the achievements gained that China is now on the verge of dumping the greenback as the default trading currency of the world. It offers a very alluring incentive and that is Gold convertibility of the Petro-Yuan. (full story) prose / international
