The Massive FAILURE of the Mass Media Today

Those of us old enough to remember the tragic and illegal (Tonkin incident) Vietnam war also remember how the mass media of the day saturated the air waves with stories and graphic imagery of that criminal intervention and the mass murder of innocents -- approximately 5 million peasants and others were slaughtered due to the indiscriminate “carpet bombing” of Indo-China and the murderous actions of American and allied troops fighting a people/nation that simply wished to be a sovereign independent State.

The result of serving up accurate comprehensive stories grotesque images and footage was public outrage, which hastened the end of the war, WHY? Simply due to the fact that CITIZENS world-wide were able to SEE the results of the criminal actions of their corrupt, corporate serving governments -- what has so starkly changed today? No more images or footage of the innocent VICTIMS of war, people do not see the result of their government’s criminal actions – which today far exceed the appalling crimes of the Vietnam war.

Not only are citizens deprived of factual, COMPREHENSIVE reporting today, they are intentionally shielded from the highly emotive visual images and footage of the carnage of needless wars for the profit of the few. All mass media outlets including so-called public broadcasters, are guilty of this deliberate CENSORSHIP and of feeding the public distorted information – shame on all journos involved in this moral crime, as YOU share responsibility with the killers themselves. Perhaps a review of your archives may assist modern journos in the methods of comprehensive reporting and mass communication, and may also revive journalistic INTEGRITY, which should be and was the foundation stone of the profession; journalists are professionally obliged to be the guard dogs of democracy, liberty and JUSTICE -- shame on all cowardly journalistic lackeys, self-serving media moguls and brazenly PARTIAL editors of today.

Without journalistic INTEGRITY there is no news, only propaganda and distorted information. Humanity would instinctively react to the appalling crimes of their governments if they were constantly informed/fed the REALITIES and consequences of their policies, well informed citizens would demand REAL change and elect representative governments that champion transparency, justice, peace, THE RIGHT TO LIFE and a tenable existence for all citizens everywhere. Shame on the modern packaged information facilitators of today, as you are neither journalists nor moral responsible human beings, you are trash and guilty of the most heinous crime of all, obstructing justice and preventing humanity from solving its own problems, which it is clearly capable of doing. And this criticism also applies to bloggers and so-called alternative media journos who clearly, though perhaps not intentionally, support the status quo by taking sides and not drawing the attention and focus of the public to the horrid consequences of war and the perversity of our incompetent, criminal governments, which are in the process of starting WWIII.
