In the context of Obama attempting to call Putin black, and portray him as a global aggressor, he came out with the following gem, which will no doubt go down in history as the most dissociated statement any world leader could make.
"But even in Iraq, America sought to work within the international system. We did not claim or annex Iraq's territory. We did not grab its resources for our own gain. Instead, we ended our war and left Iraq to its people in a fully sovereign Iraqi state that can make decisions about its own future." -- Barack Obama
America belligerently and illegally invaded and occupied Iraq on the basis of a raft of ORCHESTRATED LIES (proven and widely known); furthermore, invading US troops were ordered to secure the Oil Ministry in Baghdad above all else including weapons depots and internationally important heritage sites. It is amazing how Washington continues to fly in the face of recent historical facts with flagrant lies, fabrications and feeble media illusions, in the deluded hope that someone outside the Ozarks might believe it! Disassociation no doubt but clever and arrogant nevertheless.
America is CLEARLY challenging the WORLD by advertising the fact that they are able to blatantly LIE in the 'collective face' of civilised, moral humanity and getaway with it.
It's the ultimate arrogant gesture/dare of a hegemon -- 'until you are able to do something about it, we will continue to do what we want!' That is the CLEAR MESSAGE AMERICA SENDS TO THE WORLD AT THIS TIME. Washington has spoken.
Now consider another consistent historical reality; every empire has fallen or has been defeated at the time of its greatest contempt and arrogance toward its neighbours. Can you guess why?
